WORKPRO 2 Piece Garden Spiral Auger Bit
INTEND USE
Garden auger drill bits are digging tools matched with any 3/8″ or larger chucked drill. They are used to drill holes in soil for planting bulbs, seedlings, and small plants. The garden auger drill are made of manganese steel and contains two sizes of auger drill bits – 1.6″ x 9″ (4x22cm ) and 3″ x12″ ( 8x30cm ).
SELECTION AND INSTALLATION
- Select the bit with the appropriate size for the hole being drilled.
- Select the bit with the appropriate length for the depth of the hole required. Longer bits are best for deeper holes, while shorter bits are best for shallow holes.
- Select 3/8″ or larger chucked drill.
- Release the drill bit clamp mechanism and remove the drill bit.
- Insert the drill bit into the drill machine according to the manufactur er’s instructions.
- Make sure the bit is securely attached to the drill machine before beginning drilling.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
- Keep auger drill out of reach of children.
- Always wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, ear-muff and a dust mask when using garden auger drill bits.
- Use the appropriate speed and pressure for the soil being drilled. Excessive pressure can cause the drill bit to wear out quickly and increase the risk of injury. While insufficient pressure can result in ineffective drilling.
- Do not touch the drill bit or the soil until it has come to a complete stop.
- Always unplug the drill machine before changing or adjusting the drill bit.
- Garden auger drill bits are cutting tools and can cause injury if not used properly.
- Always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines.
- Use caution when drilling near underground utilities or cables.
- Not recommend using it for root drilling or stone. If many roots or stones are founded while digging, we suggest changing your position.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- After use, wipe the drill bit clean with a soft cloth and lubricate it with a light oil or silicone spray.
- Store the drill bit in a dry, clean place, away from moisture and dust.
- Check the drill bit for signs of wear or damage before each use. Replace the bit if it is worn, damaged, or dull.
