Making popcorn

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

  • Parts of the instrument, especially the lid 2 and the measuring spoon 1 , become very hot during operation. Risk of burns!

CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!

  • Do not put any ingredients, such as sugar, salt, oil, butter, etc., into the popcorn chamber 6 , as these can damage the appliance. Add such ingredients to the finished popcorn after preparation and outside of the appliance.
  • Never operate the appliance without corn grains in the popcorn chamber 6.
  • Allow the appliance to cool for 15–20 minutes after every use before using it again.

NOTE

► Not all corn is suitable for popcorn production. Only use popcorn corn supplied for this purpose.

  • If necessary, remove the lid 2 together with the measuring spoon 1 from the appliance.
  • Add a maximum of 60 g (= 1 measuring spoon 1 filled to the brim) of corn grains into the popcorn chamber 6.
  • Put the lid 2 on. Make sure that the curvature on the lid 2 lies over the notch on the rim of the appliance.

Make sure that the bowl is sufficiently high and wide to collect all of the finished popcorn.

  • Set the On/Off switch 4 to “I”. The appliance starts producing popcorn.
After a short time, the finished popcorn is blown out of the appliance through the ejection opening 5.

  • Allow the appliance to cool for 15–20 minutes before using it again or cleaning.

Sweetening/salting popcorn

CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!

  • Do not put any ingredients such as sugar, salt, oil, butter, etc. into the popcorn chamber 6 , as these can damage the appliance. Add such ingredients to the finished popcorn after preparation and outside of the appliance.
  • Make sure that no butter runs into popcorn chamber 6 at any time!

You can use the appliance to melt butter and then add it to the finished popcorn.
This works best with room-temperature butter.
The butter ensures that the sugar or salt adheres to the popcorn.

  • Add a maximum of 20 g room temperature butter to measuring spoon 1 before switching on the appliance. The butter melts during the popcorn production.

NOTE

► If the butter has not melted completely, remove the measuring spoon 1 from the lid 2 and stir the butter carefully.

  • Pour the melted butter over the finished popcorn in the bowl and mix.
  • Add salt or sugar to taste and mix the popcorn again.

The appliance is fitted with an overheating protector! If the appliance overheats, it switches off automatically. As soon as it has cooled down sufficiently, it switches itself on again automatically.

To prevent the appliance from restarting unintentionally, switch the appliance off if it overheats. Allow the appliance to cool for 15–20 minutes before using it again.
