Product Information
The Five Pendant is a thoughtfully designed lighting fixture by Tala, based in London. It is part of the Tala family of products, known for their responsible design. This pendant light is suitable for indoor use only and operates on a 120V mains voltage. It comes with a two-year warranty from Tala.
Recommended Equipment
- Small flat-head screwdriver
- Wire strippers
- Insulation tape
- M10 (17mm) (5/8IN) wrench or Adjustable wrench
- Additional equipment may be required for fixing your ceiling

Product Usage Instructions
Before Starting
It is advised to have a qualified electrician perform the installation of the Five Pendant light fitting. Before commencing work, read through these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. Take extreme care when carrying out these instructions.
Important Safety Information
- This light fitting must be connected to the supply earth. If your lighting circuit does not have an earth, consult a qualified electrician to provide an earth facility.
- This light fitting is suitable for indoor use only.
- Always switch off the electricity supply at the mains during installation and maintenance.
- Withdraw the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker while work is in progress.
- All fittings must be installed in accordance with current NFPA70, National Electrical Code (NEC).
Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
- Attach the Ceiling Bracket (A) to the ceiling using appropriate screws and plugs.
- Thread all five pendant cables (E) through the canopy cablegrips (B).
- Pull pendant cables (E) through the cable grips (B) to your desired length. Use a flathead screwdriver to tighten the setscrews (B1) to secure them in place.
- Cut off any excess cable and strip the wires to expose the copper core. Maintain all double insulation.
- Connect the pendants, canopy, and mains wiring as shown, using the Terminal Connector (F).
- Move the Canopy (B) up onto the Ceiling Bracket (A). Use the toothed washer (C) and nut (D) to secure them in place. Tighten with the correct spanner.
- Screw the bulbs clockwise into the pendants (E) until secure.
Warranty and After-Care
The Five Pendant comes with a two-year warranty. If you encounter any functional defects during this time, please contact Tala’s customer service team at customerservice@tala.co.uk. Note that the flexible cable attached to this luminaire cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged, recycle the luminaire and seek a replacement.
