Product Usage Instructions

Before using the ELECTRIC DEEP FRYER for the first time, please read and understand the operating instructions provided. Retain the instructions for future reference and pass them on to any future  owner(s).

Operating Instructions

  1. Ensure that the appliance is placed on a stable surface and is properly connected to a power source.
  2. Fill the frying container with oil or fat according to the recommended levels indicated in the operating instructions.
  3. Plug in the appliance and turn on the power.
  4. Set the desired temperature using the temperature controller.
  5. Wait for the power control indicator light to turn on, indicating that the appliance has reached the set temperature.
  6. Place the food items to be fried into the frying basket and carefully lower it into the hot oil.
  7. Close the lid to prevent oil splatter and maintain heat.
  8. Monitor the frying process and adjust the temperature as needed using the temperature controller.
  9. Once the food is cooked to your desired level of crispiness, carefully lift the frying basket out of the oil and allow any excess oil to drain.
  10. Turn off the power and unplug the appliance.
  11. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning and storing.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Follow these steps to clean the product:

  1. Ensure that the appliance is unplugged and cooled down before cleaning.
  2. Remove any leftover oil or food debris from the frying container and frying basket.

Read first!

  • This appliance must not to be used by children under the age of 12. This appliance may be used by children aged 12 and above if they are under constant supervision. This appliance may be used by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
  • The appliance and its connecting cable must be kept away from children younger than 12 years old.
  • Cleaning and maintenance may not be carried out by children.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Do not use an external timer switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance.
  • Provide a stable location for the appliance.

  • This deep fryer is suitable only for frying food stuffs. It is not designed for cooking liquids.
  • Hot steam is generated during the deep-frying process, especially when the lid is open. Keep a safe distance away from the steam.
  • Ensure that all parts are completely dry before pouring oil or liquid fat into the deep fryer. Otherwise, hot oil or fat could splatter out.
  • Dry the foodstuffs before placing them in the deep fryer. Otherwise, hot oil could splatter out.
  • Be especially careful with frozen foodstuffs. Remove any ice that may have formed on them. The more ice there is on the foodstuff, the more the hot oil will splatter.
  • Some parts of the appliance become very hot during operation. Touching them may cause serious burns.
  • The appliance should be set up in a stable position using the handles to avoid spillage of hot liquids.
  • Avoid splashing oil or fat onto the floor. There is a risk of slipping.
  • Never melt solid fat (fat in blocks) in the deep fryer.
  •  Do not use the appliance near hot surfaces.

General information

  • The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing material for children.

Handling

Mains cable

Do not modify or repair mains supply components including mains plugs, mains cables, and power supplies. Do not use damaged components. Risk of death by electric shock!

  • The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
  • Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
  • Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains socket using the intended grips.
  • Connect the appliance to a mains socket with a mains voltage of 230 V ~, 50 Hz.
  • Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an extended period of time.
  •  Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
  • Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical stress.
  • Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold.
  • Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
  • Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged.
    • First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
    • Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
  • A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any danger.
  • Ensure that cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
  •  Always lay cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.

Operation

  • Never leave the appliance unattended while it is being used.
  • Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the appliance.
  • If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
    • is visibly damaged,
    • is no longer working properly,
    • has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

Hot surfaces

Caution! Hot Surface

The lid and the deep fryer become extremely hot during the deep-frying process. Do not touch anything except the handles during deep-frying! Risk of burns! Use oven gloves.

Fire risk

  • Never use water to extinguish a fire in the deep fryer!
  • In case of fire, remove the plug from the mains power socket and smother the burning oil with a blanket.

Product damage

  • When filling the frying container with oil, never fill it to above the MAX marking or to below the MIN marking. Whenever you intend to switch the appliance on, first ensure that there is sufficient oil in the deep fryer.
  •  Never switch the appliance on if there is no oil or liquid fat in it. Otherwise the appliance may overheat.

Operation

  1.  Place the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface.
  2.  Fill the frying container with frying oil. The frying oil level must be between the markings MIN and MAX. Do not fill frying oil below the marking MIN or above the marking MAX.
  3.  Connect the appliance to power socket, the Power Control Indicator Light (1) will be on.
  4.  Turn the temperature controller (2) to the desired temperature. When the required temperature is reached, the Heating Control Indicator Light (6) will go off.
  5.  Put the food into the frying basket and lower it into the hot oil.
  6.  Lift the frying basket if the food is fried.

Cleaning and care IMPORTANT:

  • Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or materials such as scouring milk or steel wool. These could damage the upper surface of the appliance!
  • Do not immerse the product in water.

To clean

  1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
  2. Let the product cool down to room temperature.
  3. Remove the Frying basket (3).
  4. The Frying baskets can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Remove the Handles (8) beforehand.
  5. Clean the Handles in warm water using a mild detergent. Then rinse off with clear water.
  6. Clean the housing and the Frying container (4) with a damp cloth with mild detergent. Then, wipe with a cloth moistened with water only to ensure that no detergent remains. Dry the housing and the Frying container thoroughly.
  7. Clean the appliance lid in warm water using a mild detergent. Rinse the appliance lid off with clear water.
  8. Dry the appliance lid well and then place it upright on its side so that any excess water still inside the lid can drain away.
  9. Be aware that the lid must be completely dry before use.
  10.  Dry all parts well before reassembly.

Storage

  1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
  2. Let the product cool down to room temperature.
  3. Wind the power cord around the cable spool on the rear of the appliance and fasten it with the power cord clip.
  4. Store the appliance with the appliance lid closed. This will keep the inside of the deep fryer clean and free of dust.

Disposal
