Operation

Charging the battery
Observe section 6. g).
The cordless handheld vacuum cleaner battery is charged only partially upon delivery. Make sure to charge it first before operating the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. The red LED (3) flashing slowly during operation indicates that the battery is empty and needs to be charged.

  • Press the on/off button (4) to turn off the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner: the LED (3) goes off and the drive motor comes to a standstill.
  • Carefully open the charging socket rubber cover (6).
  • Insert the round plug of the included charger into the charging socket.
  • Plug the charger into a suitable mains (wall) socket. The green LED (3) flashing slowly indicates that the battery is charging. When the battery is fully charged, the green LED (3) glows steadily. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge a completely empty battery.
  • When charging is complete, firstly unplug the charger from the mains socket and then remove the round plug from the charging socket of the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. Carefully close the charging socket rubber cover (6).

Attaching/removing a nozzle
The package includes 3 different nozzles (see illustration in section 4) for different applications:

  • Nozzle with roller brush: It is best suited for carpets.
  • Flat nozzle: Its pointed shape enables to remove soiling from hard-to-reach places. The flat nozzle can also be used to remove spillages.
  • Brush nozzle: It is ideally suited for wet cleaning using the spray feature. Dirt sprayed with water gets wet and can easily be brushed and sucked into the wide suction opening.

To attach:
Push the desired brush nozzle correctly onto the connector (1) of the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner until it clicks into place.
To remove:
As you hold the red button on top of the brush nozzle, pull it forward off the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. Do not use excessive force.
Switching on and off
Briefly press the on/off button (4) to turn the appliance on or off. As a function indicator, the LED (3) lights up green when the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner is turned on. The red LED (3) flashing slowly during operation indicates that the battery is empty and needs to be charged. In this case, turn off the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner and charge the battery, as described in section 7. a).

Using the suction feature

  • First attach the desired nozzle, as described in section 7. b).
  • Hold the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner by the handle (7) and briefly press the on/off button (4) to turn it on.
  • You can now set to vacuum cleaning depending on the chosen nozzle.

The nozzle can be blocked by large dirt particles. If you notice a sharp decrease in the suction power, turn off the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner and clean up the suction opening.

Important information on removing damp/wet dirt or spillages:
Make sure you hold the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner correctly with the suction opening or nozzle pointing downwards (at an angle of approximately 10 – 50° to the surface, as shown in the illustration below left) when removing damp/wet dirt or spillages. The same position should be maintained after operation until the damp/wet dirt or liquid has been completely drained from the dirt tank. The cordless handheld vacuum cleaner must not be held with the suction opening or dirt tank facing up. This may cause liquid to get inside the appliance and cause damage. There is a marking on the side of the dirt tank (see arrow in the figure at bottom right) that indicates the maximum permissible amount of liquid.CONRAD-2388665-Cordless-Handheld-Vacuum-
Cleaner-FIG4

Using the spray feature
The cordless handheld vacuum cleaner features a special integrated water tank and a spray feature. When pushing a button, water comes out from a spray nozzle onto the surface to be cleaned. Any soiling (e.g. dirt spot) on the surface wetted with water gets loose and can easily be removed with the brush nozzle.
Important information on removing damp/wet dirt or spillages:
Observe section 7. d)
Below you will find the steps you should follow to fill the water tank with water:

  • Turn off the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner.
  • Open the water tank lid by pulling up the rubber cap on the tab at the back and removing it.
  • Fill the water tank with clean, clear water (water temperature must not exceed 40 °C). The water tank has a maximum capacity of 150 ml. There is a marking (inscription “FULL”) on the side of the water tank (see arrow in the figure) that indicates the maximum permissible water level in the tank. Never add any aggressive additives (e.g. chemical cleaners) to water, as they could damage the plastic parts of the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner such as hoses, pump, and housing. You can add a little mild detergent.
  • Plug the water tank with the rubber stopper

CONRAD-2388665-Cordless-Handheld-Vacuum-Cleaner-FIG5

When using the spray feature, hold the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner at an angle of about 45° and press and hold the spray button (5) until water comes out from the spray nozzle (2). You can release the button at any time to stop spraying water. Empty the water tank if the spray feature is not needed. Remove the water tank lid and drain the water. Briefly press the spray button (5) repeatedly to remove residual water in the hoses and pump. Allow the water tank to dry well on the inside, if necessary, before replacing the rubber cap and resuming operation of the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. At the bottom of the water tank there is a fine filter. Use a small, soft brush to carefully remove any soiling on the fine filter. Do not apply pressure on the fine filter to avoid damaging it!

Emptying the dirt tank
There are two markings on the dirt tank (“FULL”) indicating the maximum amount of dirt. When removing spillages (or damp/wet dirt), the nozzle must point downwards (see section 7. D); when the respective marking is reached (see arrow in the figure on the right), be sure to empty the dirt tank. Both markings on the dirt tank are used to indicate the maximum amount of dry dirt depending on the orientation of the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner.

Below you will find the steps you should follow to empty the dirt tank:

  • Turn off the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner.
  • Step A: Hold the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner by the handle with one hand and pull off the dirt tank with the other hand using the two lugs on the side (see arrow in the figure on the right).
  • Step B: Open the dirt tank lid by pulling out the rubber cap on the tab and swivelling it to the side.
  • Step C: Empty the dirt tray and discard the dirt in an environmentally sound manner.
  • Step D: Remove the fine filter, use a small brush to clean it or blow it out. Make sure to replace the damaged filter with one of the several spare filters supplied.
  • If the inside of the dirt tank is very dirty, wash it out thoroughly. Allow the dirt tank to dry out completely before using it again.
  • Re-insert the fine filter into the dirt tank and push the dirt tank into the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner until it clicks into place.
