Protocol of USB C Port

USB Type-C Compatibility Overview
USB-C is a new standard with much versatility, not all USB-C devices support all of the latest USB-C specs. As a result, compatibility information is complex. For instance, just about every USB-C flash drive supports the earlier USB 3.1 Rev 1 protocol, a lot of laptops and smart phones don’t support Alt Mode video, while others do; A Laptop with a Type-C connector does not necessarily implement USB, USB Power Delivery, or any Alternate Mode, the Type-C connector is common to several technologies while mandating only a few of them. In other words, read the spec sheet of your laptop on the protocol of USB C port carefully so you know what you’re getting before you buy our device.
COMPATIBILITY-Advanced features of the DS-PO6ST such as host-charging and “Alt Mode” video output must be supported by host laptop system to function. As such, this docking station is not compatible with legacy USB 3.0/ “USB A” systems. Not recommended for gaming; HDCP supported. Please see Protocol icon pictures and specification below for USB C interface of laptops.
ONLY Protocol of USB C ports of the host laptop is same as the below CHECKED ones or full-featured (like Thunderbolt 3/4) which can be connected to this docking station unit.
