Main Functions

Locate your item
The Apple Find My network provides an easy, secure way to locate compatible personal items on a map using the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Simply pair your compatible product with the Apple Find My app to view it right alongside your Apple devices. If your item ever goes missing, you can put it in Lost Mode to display a message and contact information to anyone who might find it.The Find My network is encrypted and anonymous, so no one else, not even Apple or the maker of your personal item, can view its location.

Quick instructions

  1. PowerOn/Off
    Press the iGearTag Switch on/off button once to turn it on, the Tag will beep once to indicate that it is powered on. To power off, hold the same button for 3 secs, you will hear short beeps to indicate that your iGearTag is powered off.

  2. Check For Updates
    To use the Apple Find My app to locate this item, the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS is recommended. The Find Items app on Apple Watch requires the latest version of watchOS.

  3. Add Your iGear Tag
    Start The App, Open the Find My app on your supported iPhone. Turn on Bluetooth and the wireless network on your phone.

  4. Connect Your iGear Tag
    Press the on/off button once to power on your iGear Tag, then select “Add Other Item”, Once your iGearTag is located, tap “connect”, Enter a name and choose an emoji for your iGear Tag and tap “Continue”. Find My will ask for confirmation for your Apple ID, Tap “Agree” and “Finish”, then your iGearTag will be set up and ready to be used.

  5. Find iGearTag When It’s Nearby
    Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch. Tap your item from the list. Tap “Play Sound” to make your iGearTag beep. Tap “Stop Sound” to stop the beeps once you find it.

  6. Find iGearTag Location
    Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch. Tap your iGear Tag from the list. Your iGear Tag location will appear on the Map with a time stamp of when the item was located. To navigate to the iGearTag’s location, tap “Directions” to open Apple Maps.

  7. Notifications
    Enable “Notify When Left Behind”.
    Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch.
    Tap on your item from the list. Under “Notifications’: enable the “Notify When Left Behind” toggle. You will receive a notification when you leave your iGearTag behind and it’s no longer in range of your device.

  8. Enable “Notify When Found”
    Under “Notifications”, enable the “Notify When Found toggle.
    When your iGearTag is seen by another Find My network device, you will receive a notification of its location. Note :” Notify When Found” can only be activated when your iGearTag is out of range.

  9. When Your iGear Tag Is Lost I Enabling “Lost Mode”.
    Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab or open the Find Items app on your Apple Watch. Tap on your item from the list. Under “Lost Mode” tap “Enable”. A screen detailing Lost Mode will pop up, tap “Continue”. Enter your phone number or email address and tap “Next”You may enter a message that will be shared with the person that finds your item.
    Tap “Activate” to enable “Lost Mode” Note: When “Lost Mode” is enabled, “Notify When Found” is automatically enabled.
    Note:When” Lost Mode” is enabled, your iGearTag is locked and cannot be paired to a new device.

  10. Resetting iGearTag
    Remove The iGear Tag from Find My App
    Open Find My app and select the “Items” tab. Tap on your item from the list. Please ensure “Lost Mode” is disabled. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap “Remove Item”. A summary will open, tap “Remove” to confirm.

  11. Factory Reset Your iGear Tag
    After successfully removing the iGearTag from Find My app. Press the iGearTag’s switch on/off button five times rapidly and hold it on the 5th press until you hear a beep. The iGearTag is now reset and ready to be paired to a new Apple ID/iOS device.

  12. Unwanted tracking
    If any Find My network accessory separated from its owner, is seen moving with you over time, you’ll be notified, Find My will send a notification to your Apple devices. This feature is available on iOS or iPad iOS 14.5 or later. These features were created specifically to discourage people from trying to track you without your knowledge.

Button & Sound Description

  1. Power on
    Click the button (long beep)

  2. Power off
    Hold the button for 3 seconds (2-time beep)

  3. Reset
    Click the button 5 times holding it on the 5th until there is a long beep (please remove iGearTag from your “Find My” App before resetting it)

  4. Play Sound
    Press “Play Sound” in the App (13-time beep)

Battery

iGearTag contains a button battery. The battery may need to be replaced during the life of the product. Replace only with batteries of the same type (CR2032) and rating, observing correct polarity.

Battery replacement:

  1. Disassemble the product into two parts through the gap between the upper cover and the lower cover
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Insert the CR2032 battery into the device with the positive(+) side facing up.

Safety and handllng

Important safety information. Handle your iGearTag with care, it contains sensitive electronic components, including batteries, that can be damaged, have their functionality impaired, or cause injury if dropped, burned, punctured, crushed, disassembled, or exposed to excessive heat or liquid. Don’t use a damaged iGearTag.

iGear 1 Year Limited Warranty

iGear’s warranty obligations for iGear products are limited to the terms set forth below:
iGear Pty Ltd. (“iGear”) warrants iGear products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase (“Warranty Period”). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received by iGear within the warranty period, iGear will either repair or replace the faulty product. Any items that are required to be returned under warranty must be shipped at the consumers cost.

FAQ

How items are located?

When an item is separated from its owner for a period of time, it can be found by other Apple devices in Find My network and the owner can start to get the location of the device.

How to confirm whether the device is powered on?

After you get the device, press the button in the center of the device, and the device will beep, indicating that the device has been started. If there is no response please try to reset the device, if still no response please try to replace the battery or contact our after-sales team for processing.

How is the device designed to discourage unwanted tracking?

If any Find My network accessory separated from its owner keeps going with you over time, you'll be notified in one of two ways: 1. If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, Find My will send a notification to your Apple device. This feature is available on iOS or iPad iOS 14.5 or later. 2. If you don't have an iOS device or a smartphone, a Find My network accessory that isn't with its owner for a period of time will emit a sound when it's moved, These features were created specifically to discourage people from trying to track you without your knowledge.

Why I can't find device with Bluetooth connection?

Try to reset the device by clicking the button 5 times holding it on the 5th until there is a beep OR you can try to replace the battery OR you have to disconnect the pairing between this device and other Apple ID first, then retry the connection.
