USING YOUR HEATER

Before Switching On

Ensure that all the packing items are removed (read any warning labels carefully) and that all warnings and instructions in this instruction manual have been read carefully.

Operation

When you are certain that you have positioned the heater correctly (taking note of all the advice in this manual regarding positioning and switching on), plug into a suitable power outlet and switch on at the wall socket. Check that the outlet has at least a 10 AMPERE current carrying capacity.

WARNING! PLEASE NOTE

There may be a small amount of smoke emitted as the element first heats and burns any residue left from manufacture, this will stop fairly quickly, but it is recommended that a window is briefly opened to vent smoke released when first used.

Control

The fan heater incorporates a rotating control knob. You can select the different speed options by turning the knob clockwise:

OFF

Cool Air

Warm Air (1000W) Hot Air (2000W)

Use of the Thermostat

Turn clockwise to increase the heat output

To Use the Fan Only Function

Turn the control dial to “FAN”. The fan will blow out air at room temperature.
If the fan does not operate, the ambient room temperature is cooler than the built-in thermostat “OFF” level.
Turn the thermostat dial gradually clockwise and the fan will start blowing.
As soon as the fan starts, the light in the front of the machine will illuminate.

To Use the Machine for Heating:

Turn clockwise to increase the heat output
Turn the control dial to “l” for low heat and “II” for full heat.
Set the level of heat by turning the thermostat dial gradually clockwise for the lowest heat and fully clockwise for maximum. The thermostat will turn the machine off when the selected room heating is achieved. When the temperature drops,
it will turn on again automatically.
For maximum heat output use “II” with the thermostat turned fully clockwise.
The thermostat will turn the machine off if it overheats.
Overheating can be caused by obstruction to the air intakes on the back of the machine or the grille on the front. If this occurs please disconnect the machine and allow it to cool for 30 minutes. Remove any obstruction and turn the machine back on.
If the heater ceases to function, the most likely cause is a blown fuse. Simply replace the 13amp fuse in the plug and reconnect. If the heater still ceases to function, please unplug it, do not use it and contact the repair centre.

This appliance is provided with two safety devices, one is self-resetting thermal safety device which cuts the power to the appliance in case of overheating.
This safety device will reset after it has cooled, to enable the self- resetting switch off the appliance and unplug it until it has cooled (about 10 minutes). Once cooled plug it in and switch on

Maintence

There are no parts inside the machine that require your attention or servicing. Do not try to open the outer case. By doing so you could damage the motor and heating element and invalidate the warranty. If you have a problem with the heater, or if the power cord gets damaged in any
way you MUST take the unit to a suitably qualified engineer or electrical repair centre.
Before cleaning the machine, please make sure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.
Do not clean the machine in water and do not let it get wet under any circumstances.
The outer casing can be cleaned using a slightly damp lint-free cloth (a small amount of detergent can be used if required).
To remove any dust from inside the front grille, or the rear air intakes, you can use a regular vacuum cleaner.
Always make sure the machine is completely dry before using.
If you are not going to use the heater for a while, it is best to make sure that it is clean and dry and then store it inside a plastic bag in a cool dry place.
With sensible care and attention, this heater will give you many years of good service and economical heating
