INTELLINET 561228 V2 IPS-05G-60W 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE Switch
Product Information
The 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Switch is a high-performance network switch
that provides fast and reliable connectivity for your devices. It features
five RJ45 ports that support Auto-MDI/MDI-X functionality, allowing you to use
straight or crossover UTP/STP cables to connect to PCs, routers, hubs, and
other switches. The switch also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which
allows you to power your connected devices through the Ethernet cable.
The switch is equipped with LED indicators that provide status information for
power, link/activity, and PoE. The LEDs make it easy to monitor the switch’s
performance and troubleshoot any connectivity issues. The switch comes with a
power adapter (51 VDC) for powering the device.
Prior to use, it is recommended to place the switch on a level surface with
proper ventilation and away from sources of electrical noise. If wall-mounted,
screws (not included) can be used to secure the switch in place. The switch
also has a chassis ground column for protecting the equipment from external
electrical surges.
Product Usage Instructions
- Connect the RJ45 ports on the switch to your PCs, routers, hubs, or other switches using Cat5e/6 cables. Use straight or crossover cables based on your network setup.
- If an LED indicator does not indicate a link or activity, check the corresponding device for proper setup and operation.
- Connect the power adapter (51 VDC) to the receptacle on the back of the switch and plug it into a power outlet. Confirm that the Power LED lights up.
- If wall-mounting, install screws into the wall at appropriate distances. Hang the unit on the screws and slide it into place securely.
- Ensure that the switch is placed on a level surface with at least 25 mm (approx. 1″) of clearance for ventilation.
- If desired, wire the grounding terminal to an earth grounding object to provide additional protection against electrical surges.

The LED indicators make it easier to monitor the switch and its connections.
NOTE: Ports 2 – 5 can provide power to a connected powered device, and all
powered devices should comply with IEEE 802.3at/af.
Ports
All RJ45 ports on the switch support Auto-MDI/MDI-X functionality, so you can
use straight or crossover UTP/STP cables to connect the RJ45 ports to PCs,
routers, hubs, other switches, etc. Cat5e/6 cables provide optimal
performance; if a status LED doesn’t indicate a link or activity, check the
corresponding device for proper setup and operation.

Desktop
Prior to use, it is recommended that the switch be placed/positioned: on a
level surface that can support the weight of the switch; with at least 25 mm
(approx. 1”) of clearance for ventilation; away from sources of electrical
noise (radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers, etc.); within 100 m
(approx. 328’) of network devices it’s to be connected to.
Wall Mounting
- First, install screws (not included) into the wall at appropriate distances.
- Then, hang the unit on the screws and slide it into place so it is secure.
Chassis Ground Column (Side Panel)
- Wire the grounding terminal to an earth grounding object to protect equipment from external electrical surges.
