Product Information
The AMP PART# 75423-01A is an application specifically designed for the Ford Super Duty 2023 model, specifically the passenger side of the F-250/350 trucks with all bed and cab types. It is a step assembly that provides easy access to the vehicle.
Product Usage Instructions
- Locate the access hole at the bottom of the stock step assembly.
- Insert a screwdriver or similar tool through the hole while pulling the top of the stepped out.
- Remove the bottom part of the stepped by using a ratchet to remove the bolts holding it in place.
- Insert the reinforcement nut plate onto the side step sub-frame, positioning it on top of the lower shelf and between the side supports.
- Re-install the step pad, starting with the bottom portion. Torque the bolts on the bottom part of the step pad.
- Install the top part of the step pad, ensuring it snaps back into place.
- Fasten the Linkage Assembly to the side step sub-frame using two medium M8 bolts, threading them into the reinforcement nut plate. Do not torque yet.
- Position the lateral support bracket and fasten it using long fasteners at the frame mount and medium-length fasteners at the linkage. Use a spacer for long bed trucks (8-foot). Do not torque.
- To deploy the step, press down on the outside edge of the step pad with your foot.
- To retract the step, gently kick up on the underside of the step pad.

APPLICATION
Ford Super Duty – 2023 (Passenger Side only) F-250/350 (Fits all Beds
/Cabs)
REQUIRED TOOLS
INSTALLATION
- Locate the access hole at the bottom of the stock step assembly (see Figure a.). Using a screwdriver or similar, push up through the hole while pulling the top of the step out (see Figure b.).
- Remove the bottom part of the steppad. Use a ratchet to remove both bolts holding it in place.
- Insert reinforcement nut plate into position beside step sub-frame. The final position will be on top of the lower shelf of the sub-frame and between the side supports.
- Fasten the Reinforcement nut plate with a short M8 Bolt (7). Torque to 16 ft-lbs (22 N·m).
- Re-install the step pad back on, first the bottom portion of the step pad. Torque bolts on the bottom part of the step pad to 2.6 ft-lbs / 3.5 N·m.
- Next, install the top part of the step pad, and make sure it snaps back in place.
- Fasten Linkage Assembly to the side step subframe with two medium M8 bolts (7), threading bolts, and threading bolts into the reinforcement nut plate. Again, do not torque yet, allowing linkage some adjustment for subsequent steps.
- Position the lateral support bracket and fasten as shown, long fasteners (9) at frame mount and medium-length fasteners (7) at linkage. Only use the shown spacer on long bed trucks (8 feet). Leave the second fasting location open for the next step. Do not torque.
- Position the secondary support bracket and fasten with medium-length fasteners (7) as shown. After all hardware is in place, torque all nine M8 fasteners to 16 ft-lbs (22 N·m).
- Secure the step pad using provided PT Screws. Tighten to 6 ft-lbs (8 N·m) using a T25 Torx bit.
- To deploy the step, press down using your foot on the outside edge of the step pad.
- To retract, gently kick up on the underside of the step pad.

BEDSTEP2™ OPERATION
- The AMP Research BedStep2™ is foot-operated and deploys and retracts with a nudge of your foot.
- To deploy, press down using your foot, on the outside edge of the step pad.
- The maximum load capacity of the deployed step pad is 300 Ibs.
- Always use appropriate handholds when stepping up to or down from your truck’s cargo bed.
- To retract, gently kick up on the underside of the step pad.
MAINTENANCE TIPS
The stepping surface and linkage should be periodically washed with mild soap
and water using a soft brush or sponge to dislodge any mud, dirt or
accumulated road grime. In severe driving conditions, pressure washing the
linkage is strongly recommended. Do not apply silicone spray, waxes or
protectants like Armor All’ to the stepping surfaces.
CAUTION! BEDSTEP™ SHOULD ALWAYS BE STOWED IN THE RETRACTED POSITION WHEN DRIVING.

AMP RESEARCH warrants this product to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for THREE (3) YEARS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE, provided there has been
normal use and proper maintenance. This warranty applies to the original
purchaser only. All remedies under this warranty are limited to the repair
replacement of the product itself, or the repair or replacement of any part
thereof, found by the factory to be defective within the period specified. The
decision to repair or replace is wholly within the discretion of the
manufacturer.
This warranty specifically excludes labour. If you have a warranty claim, first you must call our factory at the number below for instructions. You must retain proof of purchase and submit a copy with any items returned for warranty work. Upon completion of warranty work, if any, we will return the repaired or replaced item or items to you freight prepaid. Damage to our products caused by accidents, fire, vandalism, negligence, misinstallation, misuse, Acts of God, or defective parts not manufactured by us, is not covered under this warranty.
