The 10GBase-T to 10GBase-R Media Converter is a device that allows for the conversion between 10GBase-T Ethernet signals and 10GBase-R fiber optic signals. Product Usage Instructions

Connections
Twisted Pair – RJ45
Connect the UTP port of the media converter to an RJ45 port on the network;
e.g., to an Ethernet switch. Cat5e or better cabling is recommended.
SFP+ Slot
This media converter requires an SFP+ transceiver module that provides fiber
optic connections.
- Insert the transceiver into the media converter. Next, install the fiber optic cable into the transceiver.
- Install the other end of the fiber optic cable into an appropriate port in your fiber network.
- Maximum length and fiber cable specification depend on the model.
