IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electric products, basic precautions should always be followed including the following

  • READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Do not use seasonal products outdoors unless marked suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
    When products are used in outdoor applications, connect the product to a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) outlet. If one is not provided, contact a qualified electrician for proper installation.

  • This seasonal use product is not intended for permanent installation or use.

  • Do not mount or place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles or other similar sources of heat.

  • Do not secure the wiring of the produc1wi1h staples or nails, or place on sharp hooks or nails.

  • Do no1 le1 lamps rest on the supply cord or on any wire.

  • Unplug the product when leaving the house, when retiring for the night, or if left una11ended.

  • This is an electric product-not a toy! To avoid risk of fire, burns, personal injury and electric shock it should not be played with or placed where small children can reach it.

  • Do not use this product for o1her1han its intended use.

  •  Do not hang ornaments or other objects from cord, wire, or light string.

  • Do not place lighting string on carpeting, drapes, furniture, or allow i11o contact vinyl siding while the power is on. I ) Do not perform any maintenance or troubleshoot for bad or broken lamps while the power is on.

  • Do no! close doors or windows on the product or extension cords as this may damage !he wire insulation.

  • Do no! coverlhe produclwilh cloth, paper or any material no! part of lhe product when in use.

  • This product is equipped with push-in type lamps. Do no1 lwisl lamps.

  • This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If !he fuse blows, unplug !he product from the outlet.Also unplug any additional strings or products Iha! may be a11ached to the product Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. lf lhe replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the product should be discarded.

  • Read and follow all instructions 1ha1 are on the product or provided with the product.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • When the product is placed on a live tree, the tree should be well maintained and fresh. Do not place on live trees in which the needles are brown or break off easily. Keep the tree holder filled with water.
  • If the product is placed on a tree, the tree should be well secured and stable.
  • Before using orreusing, inspect product carefully. Discard any products 1ha1 have cut, damaged, or frayed wire insulation or cords, cracks in the lampholders or enclosures, loose connections, or exposed copper wire.
  • When storing the product, carefully remove the product from wherever it is placed, including trees, branches, or bushes, to avoid any undue strain or stress on the product conductors, connections, and wires.
  • When not in use, store neatly in a cool, dry location protected from sunlight.

USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
Fuse rePlacement : Most omen, Fuses blown because too many sets have been strung end-to-end.

  • Betore changing tuses, make sure the set is unplugged.
  • Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
  • Using a flathead screwdriver, open fuse cover. Slide open !he = fuse access cover on top of a11achment plug towards blades.
  • Remove fuses carefully.
  • Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 3Amp, 125 Volt fuse (provided with product).
  • Close fuse cover. Slide closed the fuse access cover on top of attachment plug. Make sure door is fully closed and fuses are completely covered.
  • Risk offire. Do not replace attachment plug. Contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged

Bulb replacement: Before changing bulbs, make sure set is unplugged.

  • Step 1: Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling cord.
  • Step 2: Hold bulb by the plastic base and IP! Amber/Yellow) or 3.8 volt, 0.068 watt (Blue/Green) LED type lamp (provided” with product).
  • Step 3: Replace lamp with only 2.4 volt, 0.043 watt (Red Amber Yellow) or 3.8 volt, 0.068 watt (Blue/Green) LED type lamp (provided” with product).

If the spare bulbs provided with the product have no plastic base or1he plastic base does not fit, first follow s1eps1-2above. Then

  • Remove !he old bulb by straightening the bulb wires and pulling bulb sTraighlfrom !he base.
  • Replace !he new bulb by straightening the bulb leads and aiming each wire into a separate hole in !he plastic base.
  • Make sure each bulb lead comes out an exit opening a11he bo11om of the plastic base. Now bend each lead up such 1ha1 each bulb lead fits closely against the narrow side of the plastic base.

GAUT I ON

  1. This lighting string is ra1ed6.48Wa11s (0.054Amps), do not overload. Connec1o1her ligh1ing , strings or decorative outfits end-to-end up to a maximum of 216 Wa11s (1.8Amps) total. If connecting to a lighting string 1ha1 does not have a Wa11age (W) rating! found on the tag within 6 inches of the plug) calculate the wa11age as follows: Multiply the current (_A) which is on the flag -type tag by 120.
    For Example : lighting string is rated 120 V, 60 Hz, 0.054Amps. 0.054 X 120 =6.48Wa11s.
    Add the wa11age of each light siring 1ogelherfor a total of 216 Walls or less. (Do not exceed 216 Wa11s.)

  2. To reduce the risk of overheating, replace burned-out bulbs promptly.
    Use 2.4 volt, 0.043 wa11 or 3.8 volt, 0.068 wa11 LED type lamp only.

  3. To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock: a) Do not install on trees having needles, leaves or branch coverings of metal or materials which look like metal, and b) Do not mount or support strings in a manner1ha1 can cut or damage wire insulation.

This product was pre-tested before shipment and date coded. In keeping with the National Electrical Code, this product is intended for residential seasonal installation and use (90 days max. per year). Nicolas Holiday Ltd.’s 3-year Limited Guarantee covers repair or replacement (same or equivalent) of this product within three (3) year from the date of purchase. Troubleshooting tips are on your use and care guide included in this box. If troubleshooting is unsuccessful, send your product prepaid along with a legible copy of your sales receipt to St. Nick’s Fix, 246 Spring Hill Road, Unit F, Trumbull, CT 06611,

This product is guaranteed only if it is used as intended. All accessories that may be packed with this product, such as clips and stakes, are guaranteed for the first season only.
This Limited Guarantee does not cover

  1. commercial applications,
  2. burned out bulbs/LEDs,
  3. misuse or tampering,
  4. batteries,
  5. damage caused by improper consumer handling, or
  6. components that may weather, age or discolor due to a chemical reaction when exposed to UV, oils, heat, acid rain, atmospheric oxygen and some salts.

ANY IMPLIED GUARANTEES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED GUARANTEES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PUR­POSE, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED GUARANTEE. OTHERWISE THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS LIMITED GUARANTEE, IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE CONSUMER, AND IS PROVIDED IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER GUARANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL NICOLAS HOLIDAY LTD.
