Product Information

The WAGO Gelbox for Splicing Connectors is a versatile and compact junction box designed to provide excellent protection against moisture and water ingress. It is a complete system consisting of the Gelbox and WAGO 221/2773 Series Connectors, which have been VDE-tested and IPX8-certified. The Gelbox is filled with label-free Cellpack quality gel and features a robust housing with a flexible sealing lip to prevent conductor damage. It contains no hazardous substances according to CLP regulations and is suitable for indefinite storage.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Open the Gelbox at the side latches.
  2. Place the wired connector in the Gelbox.
  3. Close the Gelbox.

Extending Circuits
To extend circuits, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Gelbox.
  2. Remove gel from the connector.
  3. Open the connector.
  4. Connect new components to the cable.
    Note: Ensure that the permitted combinations of connectors and Gelbox are used to guarantee IPX8 protection.

  • Place the wired connector in the Gelbox.

  • Close the Gelbox.

  • Simply extend circuits:
    Open the Gelbox, remove gel from the connector, open the connector and connect new components to the cable.
