Product Information
The Sagemcom FAST 5295 (SAX2V1S) is a router designed for indoor use. It provides high-speed internet connectivity and features multiple Ethernet ports for connecting computers and other devices. Installation and Safe Usage Instructions:
- Place the router in a vertical orientation on a flat surface.
- Connect the manufacturer supplied AC to DC power adapter.
- Connect the Ethernet cable (provided) to the RJ45 port labeled “Internet” on one end.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Internet access device provided by your ISP.
- For connecting a computer with an Ethernet cable:
- Use one of the RJ45 ports on the product marked “Ethernet,” 1, 2, or 3.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of the computer.
- Repeat as necessary with the other available Ethernet ports.
The product label, containing manufacturer identification and model identification, is located on the bottom of the router. Follow these additional safety precautions:
- Do not use this product near water or expose it to moisture.
- Use the router indoors only; do not install it in an outdoor location.
- Connect the Ethernet ports to indoor cable circuits located within the building where the product is installed. Do not connect them to remote equipment earthed to a different earthing network.
- Keep devices connected to the telephone interfaces for indoor use only.

interference and must accept any interference received, including interference
that may cause undesiredoperation. The device is restricted for indoor use

For optimal performance and compliance, consider the following:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a different circuit from the receiver.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for assistance.
The antenna of the router must be positioned to maintain a minimum distance of 52 cm (1.71 feet) from any nearby person tocomply with FCC radiation exposure limits. This device is prohibited from operation on oil platforms, cars, trains, boats, and aircraft, except as permitted.
INSTALLATION AND SAFE USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the router in a vertical orientation on a flat surface.
- Connect the manufacturer supplied AC to DC power adapter. The FAST 5295 router requires the use of a 12VDC, 3A power adapter. Only use a manufacturer supplied and approved power adapter and Ethernet cable.
- Connect the “FAST 5295” to the AC Mains in accordance with the installation instructions in this booklet, and the markings on the identification label (voltage, current, and frequency of electricity network).
- Connect the Ethernet cable (provided) to the RJ45 port labeled “internet” on one end and to the Internet access device provided by your ISP on the other end.
- According to installation method required by our ISP:
- Connect the Ethernet cable (provided) to the RJ45 port labeled “Internet” on one end and to the Internet access device provided by your ISP on the other end.
- For connection of a computer with an Ethernet cable use one of the RJ45 ports on the product marked “Ethernet”, “1”, “2”, “3”. Then connect the other end of the Ethernet Cable to the Ethernet port of a computer. Repeat as necessary with the other available Ethernet ports.
The product label (with manufacturer identification, model identification) is located on the product bottom. When using this device, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons including the following:
- Do not use this product near water and avoid contact with moisture. For example, does not use near a bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool. Care should be taken so that liquids are not spilled on this equipment.
- This equipment is for indoor use only, do not place or install in an outdoor location.
- Ethernet ports are intended to be connected to indoor cable circuits that are exclusively located within the building where the product FAST 5295 is installed, and don’t terminate on a remote equipment earthed to a different earthing network.
- The devices connected to the telephone interfaces must be kept indoor use only.
- Caution : To reduce risk of electric shock, fire or damage to the equipment, do not connect telephone or telecommunications public network into “PHONE” port.
- Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during an electrical storm. There may be a remote risk of electric shock from lightning.
- Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the leak.
- Make sure the power socket to which you connect the power cord is easily accessible and as close as possible to the equipment so that the appliance can be unplugged quickly in case of a problem.
- Place your product on a firm, solid surface, no obstacle at a minimum distance of 52cm (1.71 feet). If you put it on something unsteady, it may fall and be damaged. If you place it on a soft surface, such as rug, sofa or cushion, the vents may be blocked, causing the product to overheat.
- Never insert objects into the vents of this equipment as this can result in the risk of electrical shock or fire.
- As the power adapter is the only way to connect to the electrical network, the product must be installed near an easily accessed power outlet.
- This equipment should only be operated with the type of power supply (Voltage and Current) indicated on the marking label.
- Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords. Doing so can result in the risk of fire or electrical shock.
- Avoid blocking any vent openings or exhaust exits on this equipment. Do not place equipment in a built-in installation such as a cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings.
- The equipment should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat producing appliances and equipment.
- To disconnect this equipment from AC power, unplug the power supply from the AC wall socket.
- Care should be taken to ensure that the power cord is routed, so it is not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or next to it.
- Unplug this equipment before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning only.
- This equipment is not user serviceable and is to be serviced by qualified personnel only. Do not disassemble this equipment. If service is required, disconnect all power from the equipment and consult qualified service personnel.
- To disconnect this equipment from AC power, unplug the power supply from the AC wall socket.
- Use the product in the environment specified as below:
- Air temperature between 0°C (32 F) and +40°C (104 F).
- Relative humidity between 5% and 95%.
- Altitude : 4000 meters (13000ft) maximum.

Important Note:
The device for operation in the band 5150–5250 MHz is only for indoor use to
reduce the potential for harmful interference to co-channel mobile satellite

responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this
equipment. For product available in the USA market, only channel 1~11 can be
operated. Selection of other channels is not possible.
FCC regulations restrict the operation of this device to indoor use only.
- The operation of this device is prohibited on oil platforms, cars, trains, boats, and aircraft, except that operation of this device is permitted in large aircraft while flying above 10,000 feet.
Operation of transmitters in the 5.925-7.125 GHz band is prohibited for control of or Communications with unmanned aircraft systems.
