Description: The SMART Water Leak Detector is a product that can be connected to existing WiFi and controlled through the Smart Life app. It does not require a separate hub/router. The app allows you to control all SMART products and use features such as timer control, scheduling, and automated events.
Wireless detector that sets off an alarm when it comes in contact with water. Used to detect leaking water as a result of broken pipes or leaking household appliances. Connects to existing WiFi and warns via the built-in siren (85 dB) and sends notice to app. This is a SMART product that can be connected to existing WiFi and controlled via the app Smart Life. Does not require a separate hub/router. You can control all SMART products in the app and use functions such as timer control, scheduling and automatised events.

NOTE:
The product is only a water detector with an alarm that provides an early warning. It cannot turn off the water supply.

Usage Instructions:

1. Download the Smart Life app from Google Play.
2. Place the detection probes flat on the floor surface.
3. Ensure that the sealing ring is undamaged and properly positioned in the sealing groove.
4. Insert two new AA batteries into the battery compartment with the correct polarity.
5. To replace the batteries:
   • Remove the battery cover.
   • Take out the old batteries from the battery compartment.
   • Insert two new batteries into the battery compartment with the correct polarity.
6. If the battery level is low, the product will emit warning beeps approximately every 32 seconds. Replace the batteries.

At low battery voltage, the product warns with short beep tones at 32-second intervals. Replace the batteries.

TECHNICAL DATA

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Check that the smartphone is connected to the 2.4 GHz WiFi network and switch on the light. WiFi router. iPhone, iPad (IOS 11.0 or higher) or Android (5.0 or higher).

CONNECTION TO NETWORK
The product supports connection to WiFi router. If this option is utilised, the product will not only provide an audible alarm and light indication in case of flooding, but also send an alarm signal to the router.

USE

INSTALL APP

1. Scan the QR code to download the Smart Life app. Or search at App Store or Google Play.
2. Register account with mobile phone number or email address. A verification code is sent with SMS or email. Enter the code in the app and choose a password. If you already have an account, log in using your mobile phone number or email address and password.

CONNECTION TO WIFI ROUTER

1. Enable the WiFi function on your mobile device to be able to connect to the router.
2. Start the TUYA app, click on “Other” + “WIFI router” and then on “confirming the indicator is flashing”. Then give the WiFi account number and password.
3. Hold the water leak sensor in one hand, with the detection probes facing upwards. Hold the supplied screwdriver in the other hand.
4. Simultaneously touch both detection probes three times within two seconds with the blade of a screwdriver. The status light stays on. Otherwise repeat the process.
5. Click on “Confirm” and observe the status light. If the status light flashes 10 times and then turns off, the network connection has been successful. Otherwise wait until the status light goes off (about one minute). Repeat the process until the connection is successful.

See recommended positioning in the list below. Place a water leak sensor in each room where there is a risk of leaking water and overflowing.

NOTE:
Check that the detection probes are flat against the floor surface.

FUNCTION TEST
Simultaneously touch both detection probes with your fingers, or short them with a damp cloth. The alarm should then trigger.

IMPORTANT: If the alarm sounds when no testing is being performed, the water leak sensor is detecting flooding. Take appropriate steps immediately if the alarm signal sounds.

MAINTENANCE

• Function test the product every month.

• Keep the area around the water leak sensor clean – do not let fabric fibers, dust, or other debris accumulate around the water leak sensor.

• Remove the water leak sensor from the accumulation of water as soon as possible when the alarm has been triggered.

REPLACING THE BATTERY

1. Unscrew both screws on the battery compartment (right-threaded, unscrew anticlockwise) and remove the battery cover.
2. Remove the old batteries from the battery compartment.
3. Insert two new batteries in the battery compartment with the correct polarity.
4. Check that the batteries are firmly seated in the battery compartment and that the battery compartment’s sealing ring is free of damage and deformation and is correctly positioned in the sealing groove. Press the battery cover in place and screw tight.
5. Function test the water leak sensor according to the instructions in the “Function Test” section. If there is no alarm signal the product is either defective or incorrectly installed. See troubleshooting section.

TROUBLESHOOTING
