INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Dear customer, thank you for buying our product. Before putting the appliance into operation, read carefully these instructions for use and store this manual properly together with a cash voucher and possibly with the package and the internal contents of the package.

SAFETY WARNING

  • Consider the instructions for use as a part of the appliance and pass them on to any other user of the appliance.
  • Check whether the data on the type label correspond with the voltage in your socket. The power cord plug has to be connected to the properly connected and grounded socket according to the national standard.
  • This appliance may only be used by children aged 8 years or older, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children younger than 8 years must be kept out of reach of the appliance and its power cord.
  • Before replacing accessories or accessible parts, before assembly and disassembly, before cleaning or maintenance, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains by pulling the power cord from the power socket!
  • If the power cord of the appliance is corrupted, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, its service technician or a similarly qualified person so as to prevent dangerous situations.
  • Never use the appliance if its power cord or plug is damaged, if it does not work properly, if it fell down and was damaged and it is leaking.
  • Observe optimal air humidity in the room. Too high humidity may support growth of unfavorable biological organisms and fungus.
  • Never leave water in the container if you don’t use the appliance. Clean the water container and dry it before each storage of the appliance. Clean the appliance before the next use.
  • If you use the appliance daily, be particular about regular cleaning the container at least once every 3 days. Remove possible deposits and scale (see Chapter IV. MAINTENANCE).
  • WARNING: Microorganisms that may be present in water or in the environment, in which the appliance is used or stored, can breed in the water container and in case of their dispersion in the air can cause serious health risks, unless water is being changed and the container is regularly cleaned every 3 days.
  • When adding water to the tank and installing the tank in the appliance, always disconnect the humidifier from power supply by pulling the plug out of the electric socket.
  • The appliance is intended for home use and similar (in shops, offices and similar workplaces, in hotels, motels and other residential environments, in facilities providing accommodation with breakfast). It is not intended for commercial use!
  • Do not plug the fork of the supply cord into the power outlet and do not unplug the cord with wet hands or by pulling by the supply cord!
  • Never immerse the appliance into water (even its parts)!
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not attempt to refill humidifier without first unplugging the unit from it‘s electrical outlet.
  • Never throw or place any objects into the openings. Do not place your hands, face or body on or near the water vapour outlet. Do not cover the water vapour outlet and do not place anything on the vapour outlet when the appliance is running.
  • Always place the humidifier onto a firm and flat surface, at least 2 meters from furniture, water absorbing surfaces and electrical appliances. Place a water-resistant mat under the humidifier. Never place the humidifier onto a surface that could get damaged by water or humidity (e.g. wood, bamboo, painted surfaces, and so on).
  • Do not let the water vapour escape directly onto a wall or other water-absorbing surfaces. Humidity may cause damage, especially to wallpaper.
  • Never tilt the humidifier or empty it when in operation.
  • Don’t touch the water in the water basin or any components in the water with any parts of your body when the humidifier is working.
  • Don’t turn on the humidifier when there is no water in the water basin.
  • Don’t scrape the transducer with hard objects.
  • Never put the power cord on hot surfaces or do not let it hang over the edge of a table or a work top. Plugging or pulling the power cord e.g. by children can result in tilting over or drawing the appliance down and serious injury!
  • The power cord must not be damaged with sharp or hot objects, open fire, it must not be sunk into water or bent over sharp edges.
  • In order to ensure safety and proper function of the appliance, use only original spare parts and accessories approved by the manufacturer.
  • Use this appliance only for the purpose for which it was designed as specified in this user‘s manual. Never use the appliance for any other purpose.
  • The producer does not undertake any responsibility for damage caused by improper use of the appliance (e.g. injury, fire, etc.) and its guarantee does not cover the appliance in the case of failure to comply with the safety warning above.

Wireless connectivity and compatibility

  • ETA can in no way be held liable for any accidental, indirect or subsequent damage, data loss or any other loss incurred as a result of information leakage during communication through BLUETOOTH, Wifi technology.
  • Successful wireless communication cannot be guaranteed 100% on all Smart devices and Wifi networks (routers). Due to the variety of devices on the market, there may be cases where the character or specification of a given smart device or Wifi network (router) makes connection impossible or is in some way disturbed. In addition, several factors, including hardware and software configuration, also affect the success of wireless communication over a Wifi network.

The connection between the appliance and your Wifi network can also be adversely affected by the surrounding Wifi networks that they can be tuned to the same channel and disrupt connections (e.g. in housing estates, apartment buildings, etc.). These facts are not a reason to claim the appliance.

The application is owned and operated by a third party (hereinafter the “Subject”) different from HP TRONIC Zlín, Ltd. (hereinafter the „Seller“). No personal information is transmitted between the Subject and the Seller. When registering for the application, the customer transfers the personal data directly to the Subject, which becomes the personal data controller.

The application requires an active internet connection.

PREPARATION FOR USE

Remove all packaging, take the humidifier out. Remove all adhesion foils, stickers or paper from the humidifier.

Your appliance can also be controlled using a smart application. To do so, download the ETA Smart app to your smart device. You can find it in the database of the Apple Store or Google Play applications, or you can use the following QR code:

  • If the QR code is not active, find the application manually by name ETA SMART.
  • Press A1 button in standby mode to start the pairing process.

CONTROL
When the appliance is plugged into the power supply, an acoustic signal sounds and the humidifier is in a standby mode. Display shows the current relative humidity value. If the  appliance is plugged into the mains, the display will remain lit and cannot be switched off.

button A1 – the first press turns on the humidifier to medium mist intensity, at the same time the backlight is activated. Press a second time to turn off the backlight. Press a third time to turn off the appliance.

button A2 – every press changes the mist intensity: low(1)>medium(2)

high(3) >low…

button A4 – the first press will enter the timer setting mode in the range of 1-12h. The number on the display representing the setting starts flashing, press the button repeatedly to select the desired time – then wait a few moments for the selected value to be automatically saved. After the set time has elapsef, the humidifier will automatically turn off. The active function is represented by the displayed alarm clock icon. You can cancel the countdown by long pressing the A4 button.

button A5 – by pressing the button A5 you set mode that maintains set relative humidity in the range from 30 – 75 %. Each press changes the settings by 5 % – then wait a moment set value will be saved automatically. If the relative humidity falls under the set level, the appliance turns on and starts hymidifying. Once it reaches the relative humidity set level, it switches off again. If the humidity level reaches 85 %, the appliance turns off. The active function is represented by the displayed drop icon. To cancel the function, press button A5 for a long time.

Warning

  • If there is not enough water in the humidifier container, or if you lift the container, a red drop icon will appear on the A3 display. Refill the water and put the container in place.
  • Acoustic signal sounds each time you press the button.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Place the humidifier on a suitable flat surface.
  2. Remove the tank B from the humidifier A in accordance with Pic. 1.
  3. Fill the tank B with water (at least 300 ml, ideally 1 – 5 l). You can also add aromatic fragrance (a few drops) to the container. Do not pour water directly into the base area.
  4. Place the tank B on the humidifier A in a reverse way.
  5. Connect the plug to the power supply.
  6. Press the A1 button to turn on the humidifier. Then, with a short press of button A2, set the amount of water vapor produced, or set the running time with timer A4, or choose the level of relative humidity you want to maintain with button A5.
  7. You can turn the humidifier off any time during operation by pressing the button A1.

Note

  • After switching off, the air flow can still come out of the B2 outlet for a while to better circulate the humidity around the room.
  • The displayed humidity values are only informative and may have a certain deviation compared to calibrated measuring devices.

MAINTENANCE

Clean the surface of the appliance with a damp cloth. Rinse the tank in warm soapy water. You may also use disinfectants but always follow the instructions provided on the packaging. Clean the ultrasound converter with a cloth (sponge) and warm soapy water. If you use the humidifier frequently, we recommend cleaning the tank and the ultrasound converter at least once a week. Be aware of the fact that a contaminated ultrasound converter will not function properly! Never use any aggressive cleaning agents for cleaning the humidifier (such as petrol, glass cleaner, furniture polish, or paint thinner) or any other solvents! After maintenance, let the individual parts dry properly. Never use sources of heat to dry the plastic parts (such as oven, electric or gas stove).

More extensive maintenance or maintenance requiring intervention in the inner parts of the appliance must be carried out by professional service! Failure to comply with the instructions of the manufacturer will lead to expiration of the right to repair!

ENVIRONMENT

If the dimensions allow, there are marks of materials used for production of packing, components and accessories as well as their recycling on all parts. The symbols specified on the product or in the accompanying documentation mean that the used electrical or electronic products must not be disposed of together with municipal waste. For proper disposal, hand them over at the special collection places where they will be accepted free of charge. Suitable disposal of the product can help to maintain valuable natural resources and to prevent possible negative impacts on the environment and human health, which could be the possible consequences of improper waste disposal. Ask for more details at the local authority or at a collection site. Fines can be imposed for improper disposal of this type of waste in agreement with the national regulations. If the appliance is to be put out of operation, after disconnecting it from power supply we recommend its cutoff and in this way it will not be possible to use the appliance again.
