Product Usage Instructions
- Base plate and substructure assembly:
- Insert the number 9 screws through the 10 holes in the base plate, ensuring that the screw head is on the smooth side of the plate.
- Tighten the number 3 nuts by hand for the two pipe bends and the handle. Place the holding plate for the chicken ladder between the pipe and the plate.
- Hammer the square of the screws into the plate and tighten the number 3 nuts with a wrench (wrench size 10).
- Tighten the number 7 screws to the two remaining holes in the base plate using a cordless drill.
- Wheel assembly:
- Insert the two wheels onto the axle and hook the axle into the wheel axle brackets.
- Door strip installation:
- Screw on the door strips using screw number 14.

Chicken coop assembly instructions
Base plate and substructure Screws: 3, 9, 7
- Insert the number 9 screws through the 10 holes in the base plate (ensure the screw head is on the smooth side of the plate).
- Mount the two pipe bends and the handle and tighten the number 3 nuts by hand.
- Place the holding plate for the chicken ladder between the pipe and plate as shown in the figure (outer edge angled downwards).
- Hammer the square of the screws into the plate and tighten the number 3 nuts with a wrench (wrench size 10).
TIP:
When tightening the nuts, press against the screw head from behind to prevent
spinning. The screw head must be completely driven into the plate before
tightening the number 3 nuts so that the screw cannot rotate with it.
Screw in the number 7 screws (needed for positioning the laying next later) to the two remaining holes in the base plate.
TIP: Use a cordless drill for this.
Wheel axle brackets and wheels Screws: 3, 8
Place the wheel axle brackets around the pipe bends. Screw the number 8
screw into the hole and tighten the number 3 nut by hand.
- the upper bend must be directed inwards here
- the axle opening must point in the direction of the previously mounted handle
Insert the two wheels onto the axle and hook the axle into the wheel axle brackets.
Screw on the door strips Screws: 14
- Place the right-hand side wall with the inside facing upwards (visible by the small positioning holes around the door opening) and position the door strips.
- Ensure that the two notches (which serve as alignment aids) are at the upper left and lower right.
- Secure the strips with the number 14 screws. Ensure that all screws hit the pre-drilled holes in the side wall.
- Place the front wall (with the cut-out for the chicken flap) with the inside facing upwards (visible by the small positioning holes left of the door opening) and position the door strip as shown.
Important:
The milled recess in the door strip must point upwards.
Secure the strip with the number 14 screws. Ensure that all screws hit the pre-drilled holes in the side wall.
Install the window panes Screws: 2
- Place the left side wall and the door with the inside facing upwards (the inside is recognizable by the small positioning holes around the window openings).
- Remove the protective films from the two window panes (both sides) and place both panes on the plate.
- Secure the panes with the number 2 screws.
Preparation and installation of the doors Screws: 6, 4
- Disassemble the door lock as shown by loosening the screw (left) and the nut (centre).
- Important: The disc is loosely seated on the plastic handle, don’t lose it.
- Place the round fitting into the door from the outside.
- Ensure that the ledge on the inside is pointing upwards and to the left. Fasten the screw connection with the large nut.
- Place the handle into the round screw connection from the outside. Then mount the hook and screw. Before tightening the screw, ensure that the hook is correctly seated on the square of the handle.
- Mount the large hinges to the door using the number 6 screws and the number 4 nuts.
- Place the door into the right side wall and attach the hinges with the number 6 screws and the number 4 nuts.
- Important: Align the door centrally before tightening the nuts.
- Follow the same procedure when installing the chicken door. In this case, you should also use the number 6 screws, number 4 nuts and the small hinges.
- If you wish to install an automatic chicken flap, this step is not necessary.
- Mount the catch hook to keep the chicken flap open by screwing the hooks into the holes provided.
Mount the supports for the manure panel Screws: 3, 9, 13
- From the outside, drive the number 9 screw into the hole to the left of the chicken door. Place the number 13 sleeve and the number 3 nut inside and tighten the nut.
- Follow the same procedure with the left wall side (also from the outside).
- Follow the same procedure with the rear wall side (also from the outside. The outer side is the side on which there is no long milled groove).
Mount the sheet metal fittings Screws: 3, 10
Place the sheet metal fittings on the left side wall from the outside and
place the number 10 screws and number 3 nuts.
Place the sheet metal fittings on the right side wall from the outside and place the number 10 screws and number 3 nuts.
- Screw the front wall to the left side wall using the number 10 screws and number 3 nuts.
- Screw the rear wall to the left side wall using the number 10 screws andnumber 3 nuts.
Install the roof struts Screws: 1
- Screw the 2 long and one short wooden strips to the upper side of the cover plate through the pre-drilled holes using the number 1 screws.
- Pay attention to the position of the large recess on the left in the picture.
- Ensure that the slats are flush with the edge of the plate.
Final construction Screws: 3, 10, 1
- Place the cover plate between the wall elements. Ensure that the cover plate engages in the wall grooves to the front and rear.
- Ensure the cover plate is facing in the correct direction (see recess on the left in the picture).
- Place the right side wall with the sheet metal fittings and place the number 10 screws and number 3 nuts. Tighten the nuts firmly.
- Place the number 1 screws in the pre-drilled holes all around the top edge.
- Before screwing in, ensure that the wooden strips are flush with the upper edge of the walls.
- Place the body on the base plate. Ensure that the nuts are on the base plate in the inside of all four corners.
Now screw the walls all around to the base plate (number 1 screw!).
Attach the roof Screws: 12, 14
- Position the two roof panels. Ensure that the sheet with the double bend is on the top, the sheet with the single bend at the bottom.
- Align the sheets so that the embossed corner marking on each side is flush with the corner of the hutch.
- Secure the plates with the number 14 screws and the number 12 washers.
Attach the chicken ladder Screws: 7
Screw the two number 7 hexagon socket screws into the chicken ladder holes
from below (do not screw in completely, leave 1-2 mm distance) and then mount
the chicken ladder into the holding plate using the screws.
Mount the laying nest Screws: 1
Position the wooden parts of the laying nests and screw them in using the
number 1 screws. Place the laying nest behind the two positioning screws on
the base plate.
Insert the manure panels and mount the perch holders Screws: 4, 5
- Attach the two perch holders to the inner sides of the two manure panels using the number 5 screws and number 4 nuts.
- Place the manure panels into the support and place the perch into the bracket.
Attach the fastening screws for the feeders and mount the drinkers
Four drive-in nuts must be attached per side for fastening when using a
genuine Kerbl feeder, item no. 70660, and Kerbl nipple drinker, item no.
70651.
Screws: 11, 5
Place one number 11 drive-in nut into the hole on the front and back. Hammer
in the drive-in nuts.
TIP:
Using a second hammer as counter-pressure on the inside makes hammering in the
nuts easier. Screw one number 5 screw each into the drive-in nut from the
inside.
Seal the window panes
Apply approx. 3-5 mm of silicone all around the transition between the pane
and plate to seal the window.
TIP:
The silicone joint can be smoothed using your finger or with a commercially
available joint spatula. When doing so, you must use soapy water (about 1
tablespoon of commercially available detergent per 100 ml of water) as a
release agent (coat your finger or spatula with this mixture to prevent the
silicone from sticking)
