for use with specific shock reservoirs. It is side-specific, with the mounting
bolts located at the rear of the truck. This product is compatible with 19+
trucks.
Product Usage Instructions
- Removal of Current Shock: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to remove the current shock from your truck.
- Trim Fender Liner Note: For 19+ trucks, check if there is an additional gusset on the aft portion of the coil bucket (refer to Image 1). If present, it is recommended to grind it flush with the top of the coil bucket to prevent interference with the reservoir mount or reservoir itself.
- Warning: Before proceeding, feel behind the fender liner for any wires or loose hoses. Secure them out of the way to avoid cutting them during the installation process.
- Trim: Trim the fender liner as necessary to accommodate the installation of the reservoir mount.
- Grind Flush: If there is an additional gusset on the coil bucket, grind it flush with the top of the coil bucket to ensure a proper fit (refer to Image 2).

Trim Fender Liner
-
9+ Trucks might have an additional gusset on the aft portion of the coil bucket (image 1). We recommend
grinding flush with the top of the coil bucket so as to not interfere with the reservoir mount or the reservoir itself. -
Fitting the shock reservoir and mount will require trimming the fender liner (image 1) it should not touch the reservoir or hose once trimmed. It helps if the plastic fender liner is warm.
-
Acquire a sharp/new Utility Knife, Leather Gloves, and Sharpie/Paint Pen.
-
Mark the area to be trimmed.
Warning
Feel behind the fender liner for any wires or loose hoses and secure them out
of the way so you don’t cut them Wear leather gloves and use a sharp utility
knife to cut the fender liner
Installation Of Reservoir Mount
- Line up mount to the flat side of the coil bucket, mark mounting locations for bolts and drill holes (image 2)
- Install mounts using ¼” bolts, torque Bolts to 8 ft/lbs
- Repeat for the other side
- Use the existing hole in the coil bucket gusset as the first hole drilled for Res Mount Bracket on 19+ trucks
Installation of Shocks
- Put shock in place, Position shock so the hose exit from the shock body is facing 45° to the rear for proper hose positioning
- On our King 2.5” & 3.0” shocks the reservoir hose will point toward the cab so the hose has a larger radius bend into the reservoir (image 2)
- Use 2 hose clamps per side to mount the shock reservoir, and run the clamp through holes in the mount
