Instructions for Use
Before First Use
Clean the toaster oven and accessories according to the instructions outlined in the section entitled ‘Care and Maintenance’.
Note: When using the toaster oven for the first time, a slight smoke or odour may be emitted. This is normal and will soon subside. Allow for sufficient ventilation around the toaster oven.
Using the 25 Litre Toaster Oven
The temperatures shown on the temperature control dial are comparable to those of a standard electric oven. Due to the size of the toaster oven, cooking times may be slightly shorter. This will vary depending upon the type of food cooked and where the baking tray or wire rack is placed. Always check that food is thoroughly cooked before serving.
Note: The power indicator light will remain lit whilst the toaster oven
is plugged in and the timer is in use.
Do not force the timer dial to ‘0″, allow it to run down naturally.
When using the wire rack, it is recommended to place the baking tray beneath
it in order to keep the toaster oven clean.
Caution: Always wear heat-resistant oven gloves when removing hot food,
the baking tray or the wire rack from the toaster oven.
Warning: Never allow food to come into direct contact with the heating
elements: always maintain a gap of at least 3 cm.
Using as on Oven
STEP 1: Remove any accessories and then plug in and switch on the toaster
oven at the mains power supply.
STEP 2: Prepare the ingredients that are to be cooked.
STEP 3: Turn the temperature control dial to the required heat setting.
STEP 4: Preheat the oven by turning the timer dial to 5 minutes. It is
recommended to preheat the oven for at least 5 minutes to avoid temperature
fluctuation during use.
STEP 5: Using heat-resistant oven gloves, use the handle to open the
glass oven door. Place the food to be cooked onto the baking tray or wire rack
and then shut the glass oven door. The food should not exceed 3 kg in weight.
STEP 6: Turn the timer dial to the required cooking time. Check the food
periodically: it may be necessary to turn or flip the food during cooking to
achieve an even bake.
STEP 7: Once cooking is complete, use heat-resistant oven gloves to
carefully open the glass oven door by the handle. Remove the wire rack or
baking tray. If the timer is still running, do not force it to ‘0″, allow it
to run down naturally.
STEP 8: Switch off and unplug the toaster oven from the mains power
supply.
Note: When placing the baking tray or wire rack in the toaster oven,
align with the oven grooves to easily slot in.
During use, the oven door can be left slightly or fully open in order to
ventilate during cooking.
Using as a Grill
Follow the instructions in the section entitled ‘Using as an Oven’ but select only the upper heating element with the heating element selector dial. Then turn the temperature control dial to the required heat setting.
Note: The oven door must be kept open when using the grill. Place the wire rack onto the upper groove for optimum grilling.

Using the Rotisserie
The rotisserie can be used to cook large foods, such as a whole chicken or meat joint. The food to be cooked must be able to rotate freely without touching the inside of the toaster oven.
STEP 1: Prepare the food to be cooked.
STEP 2: Skewer the prepared food with the rotisserie bar. The bar should
go through the centre of the food.
STEP 3: Use the rotisserie forks to hold the food in place. Put one fork
on either end of the rotisserie bar with the forks pointing inwards. This will
clamp the food securely.
Secure in place by twisting the rotisserie fork tightening screws in a
clockwise direction. It should be possible to rotate the rotisserie bar
without the food slipping.
STEP 4: Carefully insert the lorge end of the rotisserie bar into the
rotating socket on the inside right of the toaster oven. Then lower the small
end of the rotisserie bar onto the rotisserie bar bracket on the inside left
of the toaster oven. The rotisserie bar should be able to spin freely.
Note: Food must be able to turn fully and should not touch the inside of
the toaster oven when rotating.
Always use the baking tray to catch any drips from food being cooked on the
rotisserie.
Storage
Check that the toaster oven is cool, clean and dry before storing in a cool,
dry place.
Never wrap the cord tightly around the toaster oven; wrap it loosely to avoid
causing damage.
