OPERATION
- The chrono thermostat has 3 buttons, the minimal functions of which vary according to the operating context. All more advanced functions and the setting of secondary parameters can be set from the advanced menu.
- The C8020RQ thermostat allows 3 operating modes:
■ COMFORT – for wellness-oriented adjustment.
Adjustable from 2 to 40°C;
■ ECONOMY – for more energy-saving regulation.
Adjustable from 2 to 40°C;
■ OFF – system switched off (Summer season) or in antifreeze mode, settable from 2 to 7°C (Winter season).
- Down key – Decreases
- Mode button + heating/cooling LED
- Up key – Increases

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS
The C820RQ is a room thermostat that allows temperature setpoint adjustment in
ON/OFF or TPI mode.
OPTIMISATION
When the thermostat is set with ON/OFF control, this function allows the
required setpoint temperature to be reached by acting on the on/off times of
the heating/cooling system according to the type of system installed and the
set differential, minimising the energy consumption of the system itself.
TPI LOGIC (Time Proportional & Integral control)
If the thermostat is powered by 230V mains, the special TPI algorithm can be
used. In this control mode, the thermostat reaches the setpoint with accuracy
and precision to maintain a more constant level of comfort while guaranteeing
the shortest possible system switch-on time.
Depending on a number of settable parameters, such as the energy class of the
flat, the type of emission terminal, the proportional band, the control period
and the room temperature, the thermostat optimises the system’s running time
with proportional and integral action.
The output is always a single contact but time-controlled. As the room
temperature reaches the setpoint temperature, the switch-on time of the
thermostat in each period decreases. In this way, the TPI control reduces
boiler starts and maintains a more constant comfort level around the required
setpoint. This translates into greater comfort and cost savings for the end
user.
It is also possible to access two different menus for configuring certain
parameters:
