Usage Instructions:

To replace the drum unit, follow these steps:

Make sure the machine is turned on.
Open the front cover.
Press and hold the “Go” button for about four seconds until all of the LEDs light up. Once all four LEDs are lit, release the “Go” button.
Close the front cover.
Verify that the Drum LED is now off. To reset the drum unit counter, follow these steps:
Make sure that the front cover is open.
Press and hold the “OK” button for about two seconds to display the Drum Unit option, and then press “OK”.
Press the “a” button to display the Reset option and reset the drum counter.
Close the front cover. For DCP models, follow these additional

steps: 1

Make sure that the front cover is open.
Press and hold the “OK” button for about two seconds to display the “Replace Drum?” message.
Press the “a” button to reset the drum counter.
Close the front cover. For MFC models, follow these additional

steps: 2

Close the front cover.
Press the interrupt button.
Press (Settings) > All Settings > Machine Info > Parts Life.
Press “#” until the

Touchscreen message changes.

Press “Drum”, and then press “Yes”.
Press “Finish”.

RESET THE DRUM UNIT COUNTER by using the control panel.

RESET THE DRUM UNIT COUNTER

Make sure the machine is turned on.

Make sure that the front cover is open.
Press and hold Go for about four seconds until all of the LEDs light up. Once all four LEDs are lit, release Go.
Close the front cover.
Make sure the Drum LED is now off.

Make sure that the front cover is open.
Press and hold OK for about two seconds to display Drum Unit, and then press OK.
Press to display Reset and reset the drum counter.
Close the front cover.

Make sure that the front cover is open.
Press and hold OK for about two seconds to display Replace Drum?.
(DCP models) Press to reset the drum counter.
(MFC models) Press 1 to reset the drum counter.
Close the front cover.

Close the front cover.
Press to interrupt the error.
Press (Settings) > All Settings > Machine Info. >Parts Life.
Press # until the Touchscreen message changes.
Press Drum, and then press Yes.
Press .

IMPORTANT
We recommend placing the drum unit on a clean, fat, level, stable surface with a sheet of disposable paper or cloth underneath it in case you accidentally spill or scatter toner.
Handle each toner cartridge carefully. If toner scatters on your hands or clothes,immediately wipe or wash it off with cold water.
