Introduction

To get the most out of your new blender, please read through these instructions before use. Please also save the instructions in case you need to refer to them at a later date.

Special safety instructions

The blade on the blade unit is extremely sharp. Never touch the blade with your fingers.

Never allow  fingers, hands or other objects near the rotating blade.

Do not touch the rotating parts of the blender.

Do not insert hands or utensils into the blender jug during operation as this may cause injuries or damage the blender.

Never place the blade unit on the blender without correctly fitting the blender jug or smoothie cup.

Only use the blender to prepare foodstuff.

Never use the blender for food that is hotter than 80 °C. Be careful not to scald yourself on any escaping steam when blending hot foods.

Do not tell the blender jug or smoothie cup above the MAX mark.

Do not run the blender for more than 1 minute at a time. Once the blender has run 5 times in 1 minute, allow it to cool down for 30 minutes before using it again.

The lid must always be on the blender jug when you use the blender. Wait until the motor has stopped before fitting or removing the blender jug or smoothie cup.

Unplug the blender from the mains when not in use. Never pull by the cord, but instead grasp the plug and pull it out carefully. Always place the blender on a at, stable and dry surface. The blender and cord must be kept away

from hot surfaces.

Never place the blender on or near an electric or gas hob or in places where it may come in contact with hot appliances.

If the cord for this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced at a workshop specified by the manufacturer, as special tools are required.

If the appliance itself is damaged, it must be taken to a specialist for repair. If unauthorised alterations are made to the appliance, the warranty is void. Do not attempt to repair the blender yourself.

Only use original accessories or spare parts.

The blender’s motor unit must not be submerged in water.

Do not use the blender to chop ice or other very hard substances.

The blender is not intended for use by persons (including children) with a physical, sensory or mental disability or any person unable to operate the appliance unless they are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children must not clean the blender. Children must be supervised to ensure thatthey do not play with the blender.

The blender is only intended for use in private households. Not for outdoor use.

Before use

Take the blender apart and wash the blender jug (2), smoothie cup (6), lids (1, 7) and blade unit (8) in mild soapy water. Dry the parts thoroughly before initial use. The motor unit (3) must not be immersed in any liquid! Note: The blender is equipped with a safety switch so that it will not turn on unless the blender jug or smoothie up is correctly fitted.

Screw the blade unit (8) securely to the base of the blender jug (2).

Attach the blender jug to the motor unit with the handle lined up with the symbol of an unlocked padlock and then turn the blender jug so that the handle is lined up with the symbol of the locked padlock.

Fill the blender jug with the required ingredients and put the lid (1) on. Do not tell the blender jug above the MAX mark.

If you wish to blend solid ingredients such as fruit or vegetables, first remove any stones, seeds and peel and cut them into cubes of about 15×15×15 mm. If necessary, add water in the ratio of 1.5:1 in order to better blend the ingredients.

Note: The blender is not suitable for:

  • mashing potatoes
  • mincing uncooked meat
  • whipping cream or egg whites
  • kneading dough

Plug the appliance in.
Switch the blender on at low or high speed by turning the on/off button (4) to position 1 or 2, or hold the on/off button in position P to use the pulse function.

Turn the on/off button to position 0 once the ingredients have the desired consistency. If you need to add more ingredients, you can do so by removing the measuring cup from the filling hole in the lid (1).

Use with the smoothie cup

Fill the smoothie cup (6) with the desired ingredients. Do not fill the smoothie cup above the MAX mark.

Screw the blade unit (8) securely to the base of the smoothie cup (6).

Turn the smoothie cup with the blade unit facing down. Attach the smoothie cup to the motor unit with the arrow lined up with the symbol of an unlocked padlock and then turn the smoothie cup so that the arrow is lined up with the symbol of the locked padlock.
Using Instruction

Plug the appliance in.
Switch the blender on at low or high speed by turning the on/off button (4) to position 1 or 2, or hold the on/off button in position P to use the pulse function.

Turn the on/off button to position 0 once the ingredients have the desired consistency. Remove the smoothie cup from the motor unit. Unscrew the blade unit and screw on the lid (7) in its place.

You can now drink your smoothie or take it with you and drink it later.

Cleaning

Note! The blade is extremely sharp! Be careful not to cut yourself on it. Wash the blade unit, blender jug, smoothie cup and lids in warm soapy water immediately after use. The parts can also be washed in a dishwasher at a maximum of 70 °C.

You can also pour lukewarm water and a little washing-up liquid into the blender jug, put the lid on and let the blender run briefy to quickly clean the blender jug. Dry the parts thoroughly before putting the blender away for storage.

The blender’s motor unit can be wiped down using a well-wrung cloth. Do not expose to water, damp or splashes. Do not use harsh or abrasive detergents, as these may damage the surface of the blender.
