Product Information:

The Bluetooth Gateway Plug is a smart socket that integrates the functions of a socket and Bluetooth gateway. It is compatible with the Tuya platform, allowing easy connection to your home Wi-Fi network. You can plug any electric appliance directly into the smart socket for wireless control.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Download the Smart Life App from the App Store or scan the QR code.
2. Register or login to the app using your phone number and verification code.
3. Ensure that the plug is connected to electricity and your phone is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
4. Open the Smart Life App and follow the prompts to add the device by clicking “Add” on the popup page.
5. After successful adding, you can find the device in the app’s device list to enjoy the smart life with home automation.
6. To reset/re-pair the Wi-Fi code, long press the switch button for more than 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes fast.
7. To manually turn on/off the device, manually short press the on/off button.
8. The Smart Plug has various functions, including power on/off, timer settings, switch log, relay status set, light mode set, and child lock.
9. Make sure to connect the device to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network. It does not support 5G networks.
10. To associate Bluetooth devices, add them to the gateway in the “My Family” section.
11. Add new Bluetooth devices with Mesh/BLE/Beacon protocol supported.
12. The Bluetooth gateway feature is not affected by the plug’s on/off status.
13. The product can be voice-controlled using Alexa and Google Assistant.

Preparation for use

1. Download Smart Life APP
   Please scan the QR code or download Smart Life on App store.

2. Register or Login
   Enter the Register/Login interface;tap “Register” to create an account by entering your phone number to get verification code and “Set password”. Choose “Log in” if you already have a Smart Life account.

3. Ensure the plug has been connected with electricity; ensure your phone has been connected to Wi-Fi and is able to connect to the Internet.

Steps for connecting the APP to the device
（APP Configuration）

1. Power on the device.Confirm you have enabled your phone with 2.4G WiFi and Bluetooth.
2. Confirm the device have been in network configuration mode (Long press the switch button more than 5s until the indicator light flashes)
3. Open Smart Life APP where the popup page will automatically display,and then click “Add”to add the device by following the App prompts.
4. You can find the device under the APP device list after successful adding to enjoy the smart life with home automation.

Equipment operating instructions

How to reset/re-pair Wi-Fi code:
Long press the switch button more than 5s until the indicator light flashes fast.

How to ON/OFF manually:
Manually “short press” the on/off button to turn on/off the device.

Functions of Smart Plug

1. ON/OFF:Power on/off the Plug;
2. Timer:Timer,sunrise and sunset timer,random and circulate timer;
3. Countdown;
4. Switch log:Check the recent record of its ON/OFF condition;
5. Relay status set:Set the relay status for your device;
6. Light mode set:Set the light mode for clear indication;
7. Child lock:Avoid misoperations by kids;
8. Voice control:Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant.

Functions of Bluetooth Gateway

(The gateway feature will not be affected by Plug whether it is on or off.)

1. Associate the Bluetooth device: Add Bluetooth devices in my family to the gateway;
2. Add new device：Add new Bluetooth devices with Mesh/BLE/Beacon protocol supported.

Enter Smart Life Skill in Alexa APP

1. Complete product networking confifiguration in the App
   Complete the device’s networking confifiguration according to the prompts in the App. Note: In the App, change the name of the device to an easily identififiable name such as Alexa; names are usually in English, such as “bed light”.

2. Confifigure the Amazon Echo device
   (If you have already confifigured Amazon Echo, you can skip this step. The following instructions are based on the iOS client.)

3. Make sure you Amazon Echo device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi network;

4. Open the Alexa APP on your phone and log in;

5. tap on the menu in the upper left corner of the Home page, select “Settings” and tap “Set Up A New Device” to set up the Amazon Echo;

6. Choose your Amazon Echo device type and language for connecting;

7. Press and hold the small dot on the device until the light turns yellow;

8. Click “Continue” to connect to the hotspot, connect to the Amazon Echo hotspot, and return to the APP page;

9. Click “Continue” to find and connect to your home Wi-Fi network;

10. Amazon Echo will take a few minutes to try to connect to the network;

11. After the network connection is successful, tap “Continue”. An introduction video will appear，After the video ends，tap “Continue” to jump to the Alexa Home page;

12. You have now completed the Amazon Echo’s confifiguration process.

13. Key step —— Link Skill

14. Tap on “Skills” in the Alexa App menu;

15. Then search for “App Name”. Tap “Enable” to enable the Skill;

16. Enter the App account and password, then tap “Link Now” to link your App account to enable the Skill. Now you can start your smart home journey.

17. Common commands
    Control the device via voice commands, now you can control your smart device with Echo. You can control your device (such as your bedroom light) with the following commands:

  * Alexa, turn on 【device name】
  * Alexa, turn off【device name】
