Software Installation Guide
Download the “smart life ”App: Scan QRCodeor search“Smart Life” in Google Play or the App Store to download and install the app:

Register an account

If you don’t have an app account, register an account as the following steps:

  1. Open the app and tap “Register” to enter the registration page.
  2. The system automatically recognizes your country/area. You can also select your country code. Enter the mobile number or E-mail and tap “ Get verification code.”
  3. If you enter the E-mail, then enter the verification code in the mailbox, as shown in the picture, and enter the password, tap“Done” to finish your registration.

Note: Each device can be only connected to one account. If anyone else needs to control it, please share your device via the app.

Add device

  1. Plug the smart power adapter into an outlet.
  2. Launch the “Smart Life” app and connect the smart power adapter to your network.

Note: The smart power adapter only supports 2.4GHznetwork.

  1. Short press the power button on the smart power adapter,the blue LED power indicator will be ON/OFF correspondingly.
  2. Long press the power button on the smart power adapterfor5-10s, the smart power adapter is ready to enter the network configuration mode.

For Optimal Use:

  1. If the indicator on the smart power adapter doesn’t flash when you plug into the power socket for the first connection, please hold and press the power button on the bottom of the power strip for about 5-10 seconds to see if it starts flashing;
  2. If the smart device can’t be connected to Wi-Fi, please long press the power button for 5-10 seconds to reset the smart power strip;
  3. The smart device only works with 2.4 GHz network. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, please selectedthe2.4GHznetwork with the app If the connection still failed, we recommend you call your ISP and had them completely shut off the 5GHznetworkon the router. You are free to change the network to5GHzagainafter connecting.
  4. Please try to make the smart power adapter and router as close as possible when the first connection, you can change the place after connecting successfully.
  5. For fast network configuration, It is better turn on the“Bluetooth” when the smart device will be connected to the network.

Add the Smart Power Strip

  1. Click the”+”sign at the right corner and thenchoosethe”Power Strip (BLE + Wi-Fi))”.

  2. Select 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Network and enter a password.

  3. The smart power adapter was added successfully and is ready for use, Then tap 【Next】.

Timer Function
Select the “Countdown”, “Schedule”, “Circulate” and “Random” to meet our needs.

  1. Countdown: The device is turned on or off after countdown time.

  2. Schedule: The device is turned on or off on any individual day or block of days.

  3. Circulate: The device is turned on(start duration) and off(end duration) repeatedly from start time to end time.

  4. Random: If the time interval between start time and end time is more than or equal to 1 hour, the start time is delayed2-30minutesand end time is advanced 2-30 minutes. If the time inter valisless than 1 hour, start time is delayed by 2-x minutes and the end time is advanced 2-x minutes.(x=time interval/2-2).

For example, you set start time at 8:00 and endtimeat8:30.The device is turned on at random times between8:02and8:13.The device is turned off at random time between 8:17 and 8:28.

Setting
Relay status (ON/OFF status for the device): Select“OFF” mode for the relay status, the device will remain off mode after a power outage, even when the power comes on again. For the device, the Relay status (ON/OFFstatusforthedevice) is off by default.

Work with Amazon Alexa

Link Smart Life account to Alexa

  1. 1. Open your Alexa app, tap “ Skills” in the menu, and then search “ Smart Life” Select “Smart Life” and tap“ Enable”to enable the Smart Life skills.
  2. 2. You will be directed to the account link page. Type in your“Smart Life” account and password, and don’t forget to select the country/region where your account belongs to. And then tap “Link Now ” to link your Smart Life account.

Control your smart devices
Discover devices: Echo needs to discover your smart devices before it controls them. You say “Alexa, discover devices” touch. Echo will discover devices that have already been added to the “Smart Life” app. You can also tap “discover devices” to discover the smart devices. Discovered devices will be shown in the list.
Note: Every time you change the device’s nameontheSmartLife app, Echo must re-discover before you control them.

Work with Google Home

Add Device to Home Control
Open your Google Home app, and add the device to HomeControl of the Google Home app. Select “ Smart Life”, and fill in the correct login information for your account to finish the account linking. Your device will be shown in the Home Control device list.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

  1. What should I do when can not turn the smart power adapter on or off?
    Make sure your mobile devices and the smart adapter are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Make sure the devices connected to the smart adapter are turned on.

  2. What should I do when the device configuration process has failed?
    You could:

  3. Check whether the smart device is powered on or not.

  4. Check whether your mobile device is connectedto2.4GHzWi-Fi the network.

  5. Check for Wi-Fi interference or relocate the smart device to another location.

  6. Check your network connectivity. Make sure the router is working properly.

  7. If the router is a dual-band router, select 2.4Gnetworkandthenaddthe smart device.

  8. Enable the router’s broadcasting function. Configuretheencryptionmethod as WPA2-PSK and authorization type ashes, or set both as auto.

  9. The wireless mode cannot be 11n only.

  10. Check for Wi-Fi interference or relocate the smart device to another location within the signal range.

  11. Check whether the router’s connected devices reachtheamountlimitPlease try to turn off some device’s Wi-Fi functions and configure smart the device again.

  12. Check if the router’s wireless MAC filtering function is enabled. Remove the device from the filter list and make sure the router is not prohibiting the smart device from connecting.

  13. Make sure the password of your Wi-Fi network enteredinAppiscorrect when adding a smart device.

  14. Make sure the smart device is in ready for App–Config: the indicator light is quick blinking blue (twice per second) for quick mode configuration, slow blinking blue (once every 2 seconds)forAPmodeconfiguration.

  15. Repeat the App-Config process.

  16. Factory reset the smart device and try to add it again.

How can operate if only by Bluetooth for the theWiFiandBluetooth dual mode modules?
The steps of only Bluetooth control are as follows:

  1. 1. Make sure that the Bluetooth has been turned on, and the Bluetooth network distribution mode is used when the smartpower adapter device is connected to the network;
  2. Power off the router used in the distribution network(turn off the mobile hotspot if the mobile hotspot distribution network is used) and turn off the mobile Wi-Fi, only keep onthemobile4Gand Bluetooth, and then wait about 3 to 5 minutes;
  3. After 3-5 minutes, the smart device will be automatically switched to Bluetooth control mode because it is disconnected from the external network. So the Bluetooth control function is only as one replacement control way at present. But you will have to makesuretheBluetooth is turned on when the smart device is connected to the network and the wifi router is powered off or the wifi router is broken without any signal emission.
