Product Usage Instructions

1. Before using the device, make sure that your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, and the correct Wi-Fi password is input. Also, ensure that your smartphone is Android 4.4+ or iOS 8.0+ and your Wi-Fi router is MAC-open.
2. Download and install the Smart Life app from Google Play Store or APP Store by scanning the QR code or searching for it manually.
3. Create an account with your mobile number and authentication code.
4. Connect your mobile to your Wi-Fi router and insert the USB port of the gateway to a USB power socket.
5. To add a device, click on the + symbol at the upper right corner of the homepage or click Add Device.
6. If adding a device in Bluetooth mode, turn on the Bluetooth in the app and click Add. The device will be discovered and added automatically.
7. If adding a device in Wi-Fi mode, select Multimode Gateway (Zigbee +BLE) from Gateway Control, then select Wi-Fi Mode, and enter your Wi-Fi name and password. Make sure the red indicator is blinking slowly. If not, hold the reset button until it blinks slowly. Connect your mobile to the device’s hotspot: SmartLife-XXXX, then click to return to the app interface. It will connect.
8. Click Add Devices, select Add new devices, and make sure the device is in pairing mode. After the device is added successfully, you can control it.

Checklist before using the device:

• Your smartphone has connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
• Input the correct Wi-Fi password.
• Your smartphone must be Android 4.4 + or iOS 8.0 +.
• Your Wi-Fi router is MAC-open.
• If the numbers of devices connected to the Wi-Fi router reach the limit, try to disable some idle devices to vacate the channel or try upgrading your router.

How to set up

1. Use your smartphone to scan below QR code, or search “Smart Life” app in Google Play Store or APP Store to download and install.

2. Create an account with your mobile number and authentication code.

3. Connect your mobile to your Wi-Fi router, insert the USB port of the gateway to USB power socket, click “+” at the upper right corner of the homepage or click “Add Device”

4. Bluetooth Mode
   The App will pop up a window advising you to turn on the bluetooth in the App, then click “Add” , it will discover the device and add it automatically .
   Wi-Fi Mode
   Select “Multimode Gateway (Zigbee +BLE)” from “Gateway Control”, then select “Wi-Fi Mode”, enter wifi name and password, and make sure the red indicator is blinking slowly, if not, hold the reset button untill it is blinking slowly.connect your mobile to device’s hotspot: “SmartLife-XXXX”, then click to return to App interface it will connect

5. Click “Add devices”, select “Add new devices”, it will discover nearby devices, make sure the device is in pairing mode. After device is added successfully, you can control the device.
