PARTS IDENTIFICATION

GENERALDESCRIPTION

TEMPERATURE CONTROLKNOB
With this knob you can set the correct temperature for each kind of fabric.
SWIVEL
It gives freedom of movement and prevents wear and tear of the cord
SOLEPLATE
The base of the iron which comes in contact with fabric.
INDICATOR LIGHT
When the light goes off, the iron is ready to use.
HEEL
While notin use and for storage, the iron should be placed on its heel
CORD
It allows easy & free movement of the iron.

Do’s & Don’ts

DOs

1. Readinstructions carefully before operating your iron.
2. Always connect the iron to a properly earthed 3-pin-plug power supply socket.
3. Before connecting the appliance, please ensure that the voltage indicated on the label corresponds to the local mains voltage.

DON’Ts

1. Never leave the iron unattended while connected to the main supply.
2. Always ensure that the hot Iron does not touch fabrics or cord or an int inflammable surface.
3. Never touch the appliance with wet or damn hands.
4. Do not operate the iron if the cord is damaged or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. Get it examined / repaired from the authorised service centre.
5. Avoid use of extension boards as this could be hazardous.
6. Do not let the mains cord come into contact with the hot soleplate of theiron.
7. Avoid touching hot surfaces.

OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTION

1. Remove the packaging/sticker pasted on the soleplate.
2. Plug the mains cord of the iron to the power socket and keep the iron on heel (rest position)
3. Using the thermostat knab, set the temperature, corresponding to the type of fabric.
4. When the indicator light goes off, the Iron Is ready to use. Before plugging or unplugging from outlet, the iron should always be turned to “Off” position.
5. Always keep the iron moving while ironing.
6. Pressing onto the iron is not necessary, provided the temperature has been set correctly.
7. Incase of silk, wool or synthetic material, always iron the reverse side of the fabric.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Remove the mains plug and allow the iron cool down
2. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and never use a thinner or solvent.
3. Avoid scratching the soleplate with steel wool or metallic objects.
4. Toclean the iron soleplate, take a handful of salt on a clean sheet of paper.
   Turn the iron on at maximum thermostat setting, and rub/move the Iron over the salt till the residue gets removed. Switch off the iron and wipe It with a damp cloth

Burning Smell| Soleplate Is not clean/ residue stuck on soleplate.| Switch off and unplug the Iron. then clean the soleplate as per the instructions mentioned under tare & Maintenance” section.
Low Heating| Fabric selection dial is at minimum/cool position.| Rotate the dial on to desired fabriC setting. depending on the cloth fabric.
If none of the above work. then there may he an internal defect.| Contact the toll-free Helpline no for assistance.
Cloth Sticking| Soap/detergent residue in washed Clothes.| Select the appropriate fabric setting from the fabric dial and allow the iron to cool down once before using it again.
Residue stuck on the iron’s soleplate.| Switch off and unplug the iron, then clean the soleplate as per the instructions mentioned under tare & Maintenance” section.

WARRANTY

Wipro acknowledges the customer/ purchaser or this product with a warranty of 24 months. From the date of purchase, the Company will repair or replace free of charge any part of the product, should the company be fully satisfied at its sole discretion that the defect/s is/are due to faulty material or manufacturing detect only. The warranty will be subject to the following clauses.

1. Thewarrant is valid only it this warranty card is duly signed and stamped by our authorised dealer/retailer and is produced along with the original customer’s invoice copy.
2. The warranty starts from the date or purchase from our authorised dealers/retailers only.
3. The company or their authorised service agent/dealer will repair/replace all parts failing due to faulty material or manufacturing defect pertaining to the product.
4. Only the company’s authorised service agents/dealers can service/repair/attend to the product.
5. Allexpenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the Company’s authorised service stations or the dealer of the Company. as well as expenses incurred in connection with deputing or service personnel/technician towards to and from travel conveyance and other incidentals, etc…. willbe borne by the customer/purchaser.
6. The warranty extended herein is in lieu of allimplied conditions and warranties under the law and is confined to the repair or replacement or me defective part and does not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss, whether direct or indirect, arising from such detects. Furthermore, the warranty, in no case shall extend to the payment or any monetary consideration whatsoever for the replacement or return of the product.
7. This warranty does not cover corrosion, replacement or plastic or glass components which add decorative value to the product.
8. The decision of the Company is final and binding on all matters arising out of this warranty.
9. The warranty stands null and void in case the product is struck by a force majeure event which shallinclude, but not he limited to, acts of God, including floods, earthquakes, any other natural calamity, accidents, war, fire, or an act or government or other component authority
10. Any attempt made to rectify, dismantle or alter the product may lead to electrical shock or may destroy the product for which the Company is not responsible. The Company is also not responsible for any consequential loss or damage or installation costs arising out of the same.
11. Limitation of liability: Company shall not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages what so ever including but not limited to loss of profit, revenue or data (whether or indirect or commercial loss for breach of any express or implied warranty on your product even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages
12. This warranty is applicable in India only.

WARRANTY

In addition to the terms and conditions stated above, this warranty is not valid in case of any of the following events:

1. The product is not used according to the instructions given in the instruction/user manual
2. The warranty specifically excludes any problems arising out of mishandling. wilful damage. improper storage of the product/ its parts.
3. The electricalpower supply voltages are not within the stipulated norms (supply voltage 230V AC – 50Hz)
4. Any repair work/installation carried out by a person other than Company Authorised Service Centre.
5. Normal wear and tear of the product.
6. Damage due to chipping, peeling of plating, denting
7. The serial number is deleted, defaced or altered.
8. The original purchase receipt/ invoice is not available.
