USE

Exposure to air, light, and moisture are the main reasons why cat food goes bad. The Catit® PIXI® Smart Vacuum Food Container uses vacuum technology to keep your cat’s dry food fresher for much longer than conventional food storage containers, without the use of chemicals. At the push of a button, the mechanism built into the top lid will remove air from the food reservoir and create an airtight seal, helping to preserve the food and its aroma. The large 9.6 L reservoir holds ± 12 lbs / 5.5 kg of dry cat food or treats  (depending on the type).
Smart vacuum technology
The Catit® PIXI® Smart Vacuum Food Container automatically monitors and restores the vacuum every 3 hours as needed. This ensures optimal storage conditions at all times. Turning off the device will not release an existing vacuum seal, but the device will no longer automatically monitor and restore the vacuum periodically.
Rechargeable battery
Recharge once every 2 to 3 weeks, depending on frequency of use (adaptor not included).

INSTALLATION

Take the device and its parts out of the packaging.

Clean the food reservoir and scoop before use. Clean the top lid with a dry to very slightly damp piece of cloth as to not damage the electrical components. See full cleaning instructions in the ‘Maintenance’ section.

Attach the carrying handle so that the ears face up when it sits on the protrusion at the back of the food reservoir. To attach, loop the cut-outs in the handle around the nubs on the side. Start on one side with the handle in a vertical position, and repeat on the other side. Rotate the handle upwards to carry the device.

Place the lid on top of the reservoir.

Attach the scoop by hooking it into the slot on either side of the container.

VACUUM SEAL

Open the reservoir and insert dry food (max. fill height is 0.4 in / 9mm below the top edge). Ensure the food is completely dry to prevent mold growth. Replace the top lid.

Turn on the device, and create a vacuum seal by briefly pressing the Lock button (up to 1 second) as you gently push down on the lid for ± 5 seconds. (See ‘Controls’ section in this manual for detailed instructions).

RELEASE VACUUM & OPEN

Briefly press the Unlock button (up to 1 second). The blue LED will blink quickly while the vacuum is released. When the process is finished, the blue LED will light up for 5 seconds along with 2 short beeps.

Lift off the lid to open the food reservoir.

RECHARGING

Gently peel back the silicone strip covering the USB-c port.

Insert the USB-C cable into the device and connect to an adaptor (not included) or directly to a USB power supply (5V) . Keep the cable out of reach of your pet to avoid chewing. The LED light will blink slowly as the device charges.
