Roth Compact Highly Flexible Primer Installation Guide
**Description** Roth Compact® Primer is cement based, fiber reinforced and very flexible primer. It guarantees good adhesion to Roth Compact® to an aluminum sheet when you want to cover the system with e.g. clinkers/ with tiles. It can also be used with other tile adhesives and self-leveling floor screeds. Roth Compact® primer hardens quickly and the next work steps can be started already after 3 hours.
**Applications** The Roth Compact® primer was developed for the Roth Compact® system special product. It adheres well to aluminum and ensures a good adhesion surface between Roth Compact® sheets and the products connected to them. The lowest operating temperature and substrate temperature is +6°C
**Preparation of the platform** The surface must be completely clean of loose particles, dust, grease, etc. Compact discs should be cleaned with a diluted ammonium chloride solution, mixing ratio 3 – 4 caps to 10 liters of water. The plates must dry completely before applying the primer.
**Confusion** Take the primer bag from the bucket and pour clean water into the bucket. to 10 kilos Roth Compact® primer is added to 2.5 liters of water. Stir the mixture with a high-speed mixer (400 - 1,700 rpm) for about 2 minutes, until it is completely flat. The finished mixture must be used within 20 minutes. In cold weather, the Roth Compact® primer must be allowed to reach room temperature before mixing the water.
**Diffusion** The Roth Compact® primer is poured directly onto the cleaned substrate. The mixture is applied precisely with a large and wide thin-pile paint roller An even and thin layer over the entire area of Roth Compact® boards. Using 1.0 - 1.5 kg/m2 a suitable leveling layer is obtained from the primer, which the thickness must not exceed 1 mm. The Roth Compact® primer must not be used to straighten the base or for forming pours!
Sufficiency
1 – 1.5 kg/m² (ie approx. 7 – 10 m² with one bucket).
