Product Usage Instructions

To install the Compact FLEX FIX, please follow the steps below:

Ensure the area where you plan to install the Compact FLEX FIX is clean and free from any debris.
Place the Compact FLEX FIX in the desired location, ensuring it is properly aligned with the installation area.
Using the provided screws or adhesive, secure the Compact FLEX FIX to the surface. Ensure that the installation is firm and stable.

Description

Roth Compact® FLEX FIX is cement-based and fast-hardening fixing mortar. It guarantees a durable adhesion and adhesive surface In Roth Compact® and Roth ClimaComfort system installations.

Area of use

Roth Compact® FLEX FIX has been specially developed for use in Roth Compact® system installations, and it adheres well to both for pressure-resistant EPS insulation and aluminum. Roth Compact® FLEX FIX glue is used both for attaching boards to the base, that for gluing tiles on top of the board. Roth Compact® FLEX FIX is also intended for attaching ceramic tiles to others platforms when you want good flexibility.

Instructions

Preparations of the platform: the platform must not contain loose rubbish, dust,grease, etc. If the base is even a little greasy, the grease will come out remove with diluted salmiack solution or denatured with ethanol.

Blend

First put clean water in the mixing bowl, approx. 6 liters of water For 25 kilos of Roth Compact® FLEX FIX glue powder. The glue is mixed with a slow rotating mixing whisk. The glue is mixed approx. 2 minutes to get a smooth mass. Mass is given retreat for 3 to 5 minutes. The composition of the pulp can be changed if desired, but no more than 6.6 liters of water per 25 kg sack towards. The usage time of the mixed mass is approx. 60 – 90 minutes. Do not add water when the mass starts to solidify. In the cold season the sacks must be almost at room temperature during use, or alternatively, lukewarm (max. +30°C) water can be used.

Use

Spread the glue with the smooth side of the notched trowel and spread the glue properly to the platform. Spread the glue in waves with a notched trowel using. The size of the toothing depends on the recommended amount of glue in relation to the size of the tiles. Roth Compact® FLEX FIX glue normal working time is 10 to 15 minutes. High temperature and/or air with low relative humidity may however shortens the working time by several minutes. That is why it is necessary to constantly monitor, that the glue does not dry on the surface when the tiles are placed in place. Do not spread the glue over too large an area at a time. Work tools cleaned with water.

Drying time (+20°C)

A floor installed with Roth Compact® FLEX FIX adhesive can walk and it can be sealed after 6 to 8 hours (+18°C).

Outlet

Approx. 4 kg/m2 for each side of the Roth Compact® FLEX FIX board.

If the chemical gets into the eyes: Rinse thoroughly with water for several minutes I drive. Remove contact lenses if possible and continue rinsing. See a doctor.
If the chemical gets on the skin: Wash with plenty of water and soap.
The product belongs to hazardous waste. However, it hardens in a few in an hour after adding water, and it is no longer read after this as hazardous construction waste.
The contents/packaging are taken to hazardous waste collection points or waste stations following regional and collection point-specific instructions.
