IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

1. Please read all instructions carefully before using the device.

2. Use this device only as described in the Operation manual. Any other use that is not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock, or personal injury.

3. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper use, improper use or failure to observe these operating instructions.

4. This device is only intended for use in private areas. The device is not intended for use in commercial or industrial areas.

5. Remove the packaging and make sure that the device is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the device and contact your dealer.

6. Before connecting to the mains, you must check whether the type of current and mains voltage match the specifications of the device.

7. Children are NOT ALLOWED to play with this device.

8. Do not leave the device unattended, especially if the device is used near children or people with disabilities. If you leave the room, always switch off the device or pull the plug out of the socket.

9. The device can be used by children and people from the age of 8 years. Persons with limited physical, psychological, sensory, intellectual abilities as well as lack of experience and knowledge may only use this device if it is done under appropriate supervision and if detailed instructions for using the device have been obtained in a safe manner, as well as the existing dangers have been described.

10. Avoid using an extension cord as this could overheat and cause a fire.

11. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
    NEVER touch the device, charging cable or plug with wet or damp hands while it is connected to the mains.
    NEVER operate the device standing on wet ground.
    NEVER touch the grille while the device is in operation.
    DO NOT reach or insert objects into the device while it is in operation.

12. FIRE AND SHORT CIRCUIT HAZARD
    DO NOT submerge the device in water and do not use it near water or excessive moisture, e.g. next to a swimming pool or a bathtub.

13. EXPLOSION
    Operation of the device near to all highly flammable or explosive liquids or gases is FORBIDDEN.
    DO NOT use the device in rooms where there is a risk of fire, in which flammable or explosive vapors or dusts may be present (e.g. in stables, barns or paint halls).

14. Avoid direct sunlight, as this could irreparably damage the device.

15. Always disconnect the device from the mains when you are not using it, when it needs to be serviced or cleaned.

16. Before installing the device, make sure that the appropriate construction can hold the weight of the device.

17. Cleaning and maintenance must NOT be carried out by children without supervision.

18. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid any hazards.

19. Only use parts recommended by the manufacturer (if nonoriginal spare parts are used, the guarantee and warranty are void).

20. Store the device in a safe, dry and childproof place when not in use.

FUNCTIONALITY

This Device is perfectly combination camping lantern and mosquito zapper is a LED lantern as well as a mosquito attractant & elimination device, using a physical method to eliminate insects. No chemicals involved, no fumes, no smell, no sprays, no mess, toxin-free and pollution free. The blue LED UV light gives out special wavelength acting as an attractant for mosquitoes while the high voltage electrical grid built inside kills mosquitoes by electric shock.

INSTALLATION

• Remove the device from the packaging.
• Remove all packaging materials and check the device for damage.

CHARGING

THE Insect killer has various options for charging:

• With solar power → place the device in a suitable place to charge it using solar energy
• Via USB → Connect the device to an adapter, USB socket or a power bank by using the supplied cable

The charging process takes about 3 hours.

USAGE:

• Thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery, the insect killer can be used in many ways, even without a direct power source.
• The device has the insect killer mode and a light. To activate these functions, please proceed as follows:
• 1xPRESS → activate mode + light
• 2xPRESS → activate light only
• 3xPRESS → activate mode only
• 4xPRESS → switch off both functions

POP UP:
Place the device on a flat and stable surface.
ATTENTION – Please note:

• Do not use the device directly on windows or doors.
• Do not use the device over places where food is being prepared or served.
• Use the device out of the reach of flammable objects, e.g. curtains.

CLEANING TIPS

Frequent cleaning will prolong the life of the unit,ensure fire prevention and provide for more efficient operation.

• Be sure to clean the unit once per month.
• Do switch off the unit and discharge the currency on the high voltage grid before cleaning.
• The tray at the buttom can be opened to clean the device.

ATTENTION – Please note:

• Do not use solvents or abrasives (thinners), metal cutlery or hard brushes for cleaning, as these can damage the device.
• Do not immerse the insect killer in water or other liquids.
• No water should drip on or into the device.

WARRANTY

By purchasing a BE COOL quality product you have acquired an innovative, long lasting and reliable item.
For this BE COOL device we grant a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase, valid in Austria only.
In the unlikely event that service work is required on your device in this period we warrant free repair (spare parts and labour) or (subject to Schuss’s decision) to replace the product. In the event that neither repair nor exchange make sense from an economical perspective we reserve the right to issue a credit based on current value.
When dealing with air conditioning devices you should always contact the customer hotline first (see label on the device or the title page of the instruction manual), in case of fans contact your dealer or us directly. Please note that repair not performed by the authorised workshop in Austria immediately renders this warranty void.
This warranty does not include:

• We will not cover any follow-up damages caused by improper use.
• Repair of replacement of parts due to normal wear
• Damage due to non-compliance with the instruction manual
• Devices that are used commercially – even in part
• Devices damaged by external forces (falling, impact, cracking, improper use etc.) as well as aesthetic wear
• Devices that have been used improperly
• Devices that were not opened by our authorised workshop.
• Unfulfilled customer expectations.
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning and overvoltage.
• Devices on which type denomination and/or serial number on the device have been erased, rendered illegible or removed.
• Service work not performed by our authorised workshops, transport costs to an authorised workshop or us and back as well as associated risks.

Please note that within the warranty period we charge a flat rate of 60 € (indexed as per consumer price index 2010, June 2015) in case of operating errors or if no fault can be found.
The total warranty period of 2 years is not extended if warranty service is performed (repair or device replacement).
The 2 year warranty is only valid if the original invoice (must contain name and address of the dealer as well as full device name) and the respective warranty certificate are produced, on which the device type and serial number (can be found on the box and the device’s rear or bottom) are to be noted! If the guarantee certificate is not presented, only the statutory guarantee applies!
Please note that the statutory warranty coverage is not altered by this warranty and that it applies in full regardless.
Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents are only liable for damages in case of gross negligence or intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but not incurred savings, consequential damages and damages from third party claims is excluded in any case. Damages to or for recorded data are always excluded from the liability for damages.
