PREPARATION

• Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present.
• Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list.
• If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
• Two persons are required for proper assembly.

Estimated Assembly Time:30 Minutes

• Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Ladder, Tape measure, Stud finder, pencil, power drill and 3/16 in. drill bit, adjustable wrench, socket ratchet, 10 mm size socket and framing square.

• Before cutting, drilling or hammering verify their location. If needed, contact your electrician, plumber, or service person.

POTENTIAL FALL HAZARD

• During installation of this item, avoid overreaching and overextending while on a ladder.

CEILING/FLOOR JOIST OVERLOAD

• Do not install more than one Overhead Storage unit on the same supporting floor or ceiling joists to prevent structural failure.

ASSEMBLING

• Two people are required for proper assembly.

CAUTION

POTENTIAL EYE HAZARD

• Wear protective eyewear during installation.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

• In the area where installation will occur, locate the wood ceiling joists (with stud finder if necessary) and determine the direction the joints run. Measure 28-32 in. center to center and 44 in. and mark holes on ceiling. Using a 3/16 in. drill bit (not included), pre-drill holes for mounting brackets (A).

NOTE: The bottom rails (F) must be installed parallel and in the same direction as the ceiling joists. Install Into Wood Joists Only.

• Using screws (AA), secure each mounting bracket (A) to the ceiling joints. Before tightening, ensure the brackcet faces the center. Ensure the screw is tight and bracket is secure against ceiling. Do not overtighten the screw to ensure optimal performance.

IMPORTANT: Top bracket must be mounted according to the dimensions noted in the drawings and the pre-drilled holes must be solidly in the wood joists (using a 3/16 in. drill bit).

Hardware Used

• Adjust the height for 4 pre-assembled extension arms (B & C). Loosen the bolts (BB), Nuts (DD) and washers (CC) until pre-assembled extension arms are apart. Determine the length of the extension arms, attach the top extension arms (B) to each bottom entension arm (C) using bolts (BB), nuts (DD) and washers (CC).

Hardware Used

• Attach each of the 4 top extension arms (8) to the mounting brackets (A) using bolts (BB), washers (CC) and nuts (DD). Ensure the head of the bolts (BB) are on the outside of the bracket.

• Attach the 2 Bottom Rails (F) to the 4 bottom extension arms (C) using bolts (EE) washers (CC).

Hardware Used

• Attach each of the two Side Wire Shelves (D) onto 2 Bottom rails (F) using bolts (EE) washers (CC).

Hardware Used

• Attach the Middle Wire Shelf (E) to the Side Wire Shelves (D) using bolts (EE) washers (CC) and nuts (DD).

IMPORTANT: Using extreme caution, test the unit immediately after proper installation with a light load to double check unit is secured to the ceiling joint.

OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS

• Follow extreme caution when loading and unloading items from the Project Source Overhead Storage Unit. Weight load capacity is up to 250 lbs. evenly distributed.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• On an annual basis, it is recommended to double-check all connections and re-tighten all nuts and bolts. Clean with water and a paper or cloth towel as needed.
