Product Usage Instructions

To use the TESLA PrimeSound HQ-880, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the device to a power source.
  2. Press the POWER button to turn on the device.
  3. Use the BT button to switch to Bluetooth mode.
  4. Use the USB button to switch to USB mode.
  5. Use the SD button to switch to SD card mode.

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS

  • Never place this appliance on any other electrical equipment.
  • Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or direct heat.
  • Make sure you always have easy access to the power cord, plug or adapter.
  • Do not use this appliance near water.
  • Only clean the appliance with a dry cloth.
  • Do not block the ventilation holes. Install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Do not install near heat sources such as radiators, stoves or other devices (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Protect the power cord from damage.
  • Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • In the event of a thunderstorm or when not using the device, disconnect it from the mains.
  • All servicing is performed only by qualified service personnel
  • The device must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water.
  • Do not place any sources of danger on the unit (eg objects filled with liquid, lit candles).
  • The battery must not be exposed to excessive heat, eg sun.
  • Only use recommended batteries.
  • Polarity must be respected to avoid short circuits.

Caring for your product

  • Always unplug the appliance if it is not in use and before cleaning it.
  • Clean the appliance with a soft, damp cloth free of fibers.
  • Do not use abrasives or abrasive cleaners.

Automatic standby
When playing media from a connected device, the speaker automatically switches to standby mode if:

  • no button is pushed for 10 minutes
  • there is no audible signal from the connected device for 10 minutes (European Union standard ERP2).

Remote controler

  1. POWER push to turn On/Off
  2. BT : push for Bluetooth mode
  3. USB : push for USB mode
  4. SD : push for SD card mode
  5. VOLUME+ : push to increase volume
  6. push to skip to the previous track
  7. VOLUME : push to decrease volume
  8. OPT : push for optical output mode
  9. MUTE : push to turn off sound or unmute
  10. AUX : push for AUX mode
  11. LINE IN : push for Line In mode
  12. : push for Start or Pause
  13. : push to skip to next track

Use the CR2025/3V battery for remote control.

External source of audio
The speaker can play audio from an external audio device, such as an MP3 player.

Line In (requires a 3.5mm cable)

  • Connect the 3.5 mm cable to the Line In on side of the soundbar.
  • Connect the other end of the 3.5 mm cable to your mobile phone, MP 3 player or other sound source.
  • Push ” 1 ” on the remote to turn on the
  • Push the ” LINE IN ” button on the remote to switch to Line
  • Use the contro ls on the connected device to start playing the sound in the soundbar.

Optical output (requires optical cable)

  • Connect the optical cable to the optical connector on the rear panel. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the digital audio source.
  • Pu sh ” 1 ” on the remote to turn on the
  • Push the ” OPT ” button on the remote to switch to Optical
  • Use the controls on the connected device to start playing the sound in the soundbar.

AUX IN (requires RCA cable)

  • Connect the RCA cable to the AU X IN connector on the rear panel.
  • Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the audio source on your TV, DVD player, stereo system, or gaming system.
  • Push ” 1 ” on the remote to turn on the
  • Push the ” AUX ” button on the remote to switch to AUX
  • Use the controls on the connected device to start playing the sound in the soundbar.

USB mode/SD card mode

  1. Connect the USB flash drive /SD card
  2. The USB port /SD card supports FAT32 format.
  3. Put the MP3 files in the root folder of the USB flash drive /SD card
  4. Push ” 1 ” on the remote to turn on the
  5. Push the ” USB ” button or SD ” on the remot e control to switch to USB mode/SD card mode.
  6. Push I buttons to select the desired track
  7. Push VOL+VOL+” and VOL –“ buttons to adjust the volume.

Bluetooth mode
When pairing with your mobile phone, keep the distance between the speaker and your mobile phone within 1 meter.

  • Push ” 1 ” on the remote to turn on the
  • Push the ” BT ” button on the remote control to select Bluetooth
  • Turn on your Bluetooth mobile phone and scroll through the surrounding devices
  • After searching, select the TESLA PrimeSound soundbar from the list of Bluetooth devices.
  • Enter the password or PIN as: ” 0000 ” and press “Yes” to
  • After pairing successfully, select an entry from the list of Bluetooth devices and press “Connect”.

Mount the speaker on the wall
Use a spirit level to ensure that wall mount brackets on the wall are positioned horizontally.

WARRANTY REPAIR
For warranty repair, contact the dealer where you purchased the TESLA product.

The warranty DOES NOT APPLY to:

  • using the device for other purposes than it was designed to
  • normal wear and tear
  • failure to observe the “Important Safety Instructions” stated in the user manual
  • electrical or mechanical damage caused by improper use
  • damage caused by natural elements such as water, fire, static electricity, power surges etcetera
  • damage caused by an unauthorized repair
  • unreadable serial number
