Product Usage Instructions
- Start by removing the rear wheel.
- Disconnect the rear disc brake cylinder assembly on the LH side by following these steps:
- Remove the 2 bolts that connect the rear disc brake cylinder.
- Important : Do not disconnect the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder and avoid twisting or bending the flexible hose.
- Proceed to remove the rear disc.
- Remove the parking brake shoe return tension spring by performing the following steps:
- Remove the 2 parking brake shoe return tension springs.
- Disconnect the No. 1 parking brake shoe assembly on the LH side by following these steps:
- Remove the parking brake shoe hold-down spring cup and parking brake shoe hold-down spring to disconnect the No. 1 parking brake shoe assembly from the backing plate.
- Remove the parking brake shoe strut and parking brake shoe strut compression spring.
- Disconnect the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly on the LH side by following these steps:
- Remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring cup and parking brake shoe hold down spring to disconnect the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly from the backing plate.
- Remove the parking brake shoe adjusting screw set.
- Disconnect the parking brake shoe return tension spring to remove the No. 1 parking brake shoe assembly.
- Remove the parking brake shoe return tension spring from the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly.
- Disconnect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake shoe lever using needle-nose pliers.
- Remove the C-washer, shim, and parking brake shoe lever from the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly.
- Finally, remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring pin (for front side) and the parking brake shoe hold down spring pin (for rear side).
Note : It is important to follow the instructions carefully and avoid damaging any components during the disassembly process.
DISASSEMBLY
Hint :
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

REMOVE REAR WHEEL

DISCONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH

Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the rear disc brake cylinder.
NOTICE : -
Do not disconnect the flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder.

Do not twist or bend the flexible hose.

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING
- Remove the 2 parking brake shoe return tension springs.

DISCONNECT NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring cup and parking brake shoe hold down spring to disconnect the No. 1 parking brake shoe assembly from the backing plate.

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT LH
- Remove the parking brake shoe strut and parking brake shoe strut compression spring.

DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring cup and parking brake shoe hold down spring to disconnect the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly from the backing plate.

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET
- Remove the parking brake shoe adjusting screw set.

REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY LH
- Disconnect the parking brake shoe return tension spring to remove the No. 1 parking brake shoe assembly.

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING
- Remove the parking brake shoe return tension spring from the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly.

REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY WITH PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER

Using needle-nose pliers, disconnect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake shoe lever as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE: -
Be careful not to damage the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER
- Remove the C-washer, shim and parking brake shoe lever from the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly as shown in the illustration.

REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE HOLD DOWN SPRING PIN
- Remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring pin (for front side).
- Remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring pin (for rear side)
