Product Information:
The Pulse Nova is a metal detector device manufactured by OKM GmbH. It is equipped with various control elements and features that allow for efficient metal detection. The device has a feedback volume control, which allows users to adjust the volume of the feedback signals. It also has a coil sensitivity control that enables users to adjust the sensitivity of the search coil. The higher the sensitivity, the deeper objects can be detected, but it may also result in more noise and disturbances. The Pulse Nova comes with a control unit that can be attached to a telescopic rod using a magnetic mount. The search coil is connected to the control unit via a cable, which should be wrapped around the telescopic rod. The length of the detector can be adjusted according to the user’s height and locked in place. The device is powered on by pressing the power button on the control unit. When the green LED indicator is lit, it indicates that the detector is switched on. The Pulse Nova also features Bluetooth connectivity, and a blue LED indicates a successful Bluetooth connection.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Attach the search coil to the shaft adapter and wrap the cable around the telescopic rod.
- Connect the plug of the search coil to the control unit.
- Release the lock of the telescopic rod and adjust the length of the detector according to your height. Lock it again.
- Press the power button to switch on the control unit. The green LED should light up, indicating that the detector is turned on.
- To decrease or increase the volume of the feedback signals, turn the feedback volume control left or right, respectively.
- To pair new headphones, press and hold the feedback volume control for 3 seconds.
- To decrease or increase the sensitivity of the search coil, turn the coil sensitivity control left or right, respectively.
- To apply ground balance, press and hold the coil sensitivity control for 3 seconds.
- To perform a measurement, sweep the search coil from one side to the other in a smooth motion. Each pass should take approximately 1 second. Walk slowly with small steps.
- For pinpointing, refer to the instructions provided in the user manual.
CONTROL ELEMENTS
FEEDBACK VOLUME
- Turn left/right = decrease/increase volume
- Push (3 s) = pair new headphones
COIL SENSITIVITY
- Turn left/right = decrease/increase sensitivity
- Push (3 s) = apply Ground Balance
The higher the sensitivity, the deeper you may detect objects but the more noise and disturbances you may receive.
ASSEMBLY
- Plug Control Unit with magnetic slider plate onto the mount on the Telescopic Rod.
- Attach Search Coil to the shaft adapter, wrap cable around Telescopic Rod and connect plug to Control Unit.
- Release the lock of the Telescopic Rod, adjust the length of the detector to your height and lock it again.
- Press the Power Button to switch on the Control Unit: The green LED indicates that the detector is switched on.
FIRST MEASUREMENT
- Keep the coil a few inches above the ground. If possible, keep this height while swinging.
- Sweep the coil from one side to the other. Each pass should take approx. 1 second. Walk slowly with small steps.
PINPOINTING
- Swing search coil slowly over detected object.
- Move slowly until you hear a signal directly above the object.
- Note spot/target area.
- Swing coil over spot/target area from a second position.
- If necessary, repeat swinging from a third position.
PAIRING NEW HEADPHONES
- Power on the Control Unit (Operating LED is permanently green).
- Switch on your new Bluetooth headphones.
- Activate the pairing mode of your new Bluetooth headphones (see headphones manual).
- Push and hold the Volume Knob of the Control Unit until the Operating LED flashes blue.
- As soon as the Operating LED is permanently blue, it indicates a successful Bluetooth connection.
Warning : Do not drink any alcohol or take any drugs before or during the operation of the device and follow the instructions carefully.

ASSEMBLING THE FRAME COIL
- Remove the disassembled Frame Coil Xi104 from the shipping tube.
- Unfold the segments carefully.
- Place the segments on the floor to form the final square.
- Assemble the segments at the four corners.
- Attach the four carrying strap clips.
