Product Usage Instructions

Assembly:

  1. Recommended: Plug Charger into Control Unit to check the charge status or recharge batteries.
  2. Recommended: Plug Charger into Telescopic Rod to check the charge status or recharge batteries.
  3. Unfold the display. Switch on the Telescopic Rod:
    • Control Unit: Press and hold the power button.

Getting Started:

  1. Clear the scan field from metallic objects close to the surface.
  2. Open 3D Ground Scan and configure the recommended settings for Magnetometer mode.

First 3D Ground Scan:

  1. Go to the starting point of the first scan line.
  2. Start walking and press the trigger on the Telescopic Rod or the green check mark on the screen.
  3. Scan the first line and press the trigger at the end to set the field length.

ASSEMBLY
  1. Recommended: Plug Charger into Control Unit to check the charge status or recharge batteries.
  2. Recommended: Plug Charger into Telescopic Rod to check the charge status or recharge batteries.
  3. Place the Protective Cap (without GPS) or the Pro Plus GPS receiver on the Telescopic Rod.
  4. Attach horizontal sensor (Telescopic Probe / Live-Stream Sensor) OR vertical sensor (Super Sensor / Tunnel Sensor) to Telescopic Rod.
  5. Unfold the display. Switch on the Control Unit: Press and hold the power button.
  6. Switch on the Telescopic Rod: Press and hold the power button.
GETTING STARTED
  1. Clear the scan field from metallic objects close to the surface by using the operating mode Magnetometer.
  2. Open 3D Ground Scan and configure the (recommended) settings:
    • Field Length: Auto
  3. For your first measurement we recommend
    • Impulse Mode: Automatic
  4. For your first measurement we recommend
    • Scan Mode: Parallel
FIRST 3D GROUND SCAN
  1. After selecting the parameters, you can check your settings in the summary.
  2. Go to the starting point of the first scan line (bottom right corner of the scan field).
  3. Start walking as soon as you press the trigger on the Telescopic Rod (or the green check mark ****on the screen).
  4. Scan the first line. Press the trigger as soon as you reach its end to set the field length for the following lines.
  5. Go to the next starting point without scanning. Press the trigger to start scanning the line.
  6. Walk parallel to your first scan line and at a constant speed. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to scan as many lines as you like.
  7. Finish the measurement by tapping on before you start the next scan line. Confirm the next question with .
  8. Enter the Field Length and Field Width that you actually measured. Save the measurement by confirming with ****.

FILE EXPLORER

  1. Open the File Explorer to view your saved measurements. Switch between the operating mode in the left sidebar.
  2. Here you can open files, select files, mark files as favorites, prepare files for transfer or delete files.
  3. Open the scan file to view it from all angles or use the replay function ****to watch the scan process.

FILE TRANSFER

  1. Plug in a USB flash drive to the eXp 6000 Control Unit USB port.
  2. Open the File Explorer and mark the files that you want to transfer with a tick.
  3. Tap and confirm with to transfer the selected files.
  4. Copy the scan files from the flash drive to the notebook and open the files in Visualizer 3D Studio.

LIVE SCAN

  1. Attach the Live-Stream Sensor to the Telescopic Rod and start the operating mode Live Scan.
  2. Hold the sensor 5-15 cm (2-6“) above neutral ground and start the sensor calibration with ****. Do not move the probe during calibration.
  3. Go to your starting point and start the measurement with ****or by pressing the trigger on the Telescopic Rod.
  4. Walk a straight line – no matter if forward, backward or even in both directions. Repeat the calibration with or finish with .

TUNNEL SCAN

  1. Attach the Tunnel Sensor to the Telescopic Rod and start the operating mode Tunnel Scan. Select impulse mode Automatic.
  2. Go to your starting point and start the measurement with ****. Start walking as soon as you press the trigger.
  3. WaIk a straight line. Don‘t change the height of the probe. At the end of the line press to finish.
  4. Enter the Field Length that you actually measured and save the scan by confirming with ****.
