QUICK START GUIDE

OPERATING MODES

| 3D GROUND SCAN
Graphical ground measurement with visualization in 3D for detailed analysis on the notebook.

| MAGNETOMETER
Acoustic and visual magnetic field measurement to detect metal objects near the surface.
| PINPOINTER
Visual measurement with material discrimination to locate objects and cavities in the underground.

NOTICE
Read all instructions first before commencing the setup and usage!

INITIAL SETUP

  1. Plug charger into detector to check charge status (fully charged = LED green) or to charge (LED red).

  2. Release the lock, adjust the length of the detector and lock it again.

  3. Power on detector:
    The Trigger LED turns green.
    Start the OKM App on the Smartwatch.

  4. Select the operating mode.
    As soon as the Bluetooth connection is established, the Trigger LED turns blue.

FIRST SCAN

  1. Select 3D Ground Scan
  2. Select configuration Default
  3. Confirm settings with Start Scan
  4. Wait until Bluetooth connection is established

To obtain best 3D Ground Scan results, we recommend removing small near- surface metallic items in advance using the Magnetometer operating mode.
Do not drink any alcohol or take any drugs before or during the operation of the device and follow the instructions carefully!

3D GROUND SCAN

  1. Go to the starting point of the first scan line (bottom right corner of the scan field).
  2. Start walking as soon as you press the trigger. Walk at a constant speed. Press the trigger again to finish the first scan line.
  3. Go to the starting point of the next scan line. Press the trigger to start. The following scan lines will finish automatically.
  4. Repeat this procedure to scan further lines. Press Finish Scan after completing the last line and follow the instructions in the App.

Walk all scan lines at the same speed. Keep the probe vertical and avoid pivoting and swinging.

DATA TRANSFER

  1. Power on Smartwatch and launch OKM App.
  2. Open File Explorer in the App and tap on the data transfer icon.
  3. Launch Visualizer 3D Studio on the Windows notebook and start Import.
  4. Select Rover UC (version 2.0 or higher).
  5. Select Interface/COM Port (see PAIR BLUETOOTH Step 5).
  6. Transfer scan files from the Smartwatch and save files on your notebook.

PAIR BLUETOOTH

  1. Tap on the Windows icon on your notebook and open Settings.
  2. Select Devices and tap on Add Bluetooth device …
  3. … select Bluetooth and pair device (OKM Rover UC).
  4. Scroll down in the dialog window (Devices) and select More Bluetooth options.
  5. Note your port for OKM Rover UC ‘Transfer’

Pairing Bluetooth is only required when transferring data for the first time (per computer).
