The product is manufactured by Switch-It, a brand under Sunrise  Medical (US) LLC. It is a powered control device that comes with a  user manual and is designed to be used with a wheelchair. 3. Fill in the dealer name, address, telephone number, serial number, and purchase date in the space provided for future reference.
4. Check all parts for shipping damage. If there is any damage, do not use the product and contact the carrier/Sunrise Medical for further instructions.
5. Read and understand the manual before installing the equipment. If you are unable to understand the warnings, cautions, and instructions, contact a qualified clinician or Sunrise Medical authorized dealer.
6. Avoid using the product near radio wave sources such as radio stations, TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transmitters, two-way radios, and cellular phones as they may affect powered control.
7. If unintended movement or brake release occurs, turn off the power wheelchair and do not operate until inspected, repaired, and/or approved for use by a qualified clinician or Sunrise Medical authorized dealer.
8. Dispose of the product properly according to local laws and regulations. Take it to an approved collection or recycling point designated by your local or state government.

1. Radio wave sources, such as radio stations, TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transmitters, two-way radios, and cellular phones can affect powered control.
2. If unintended movement or brake release occurs, turn the power wheelchair OFF and do not operate until inspected, repaired, and/or replaced.
3. If the chair acts in an erratic manner, turn the power wheelchair OFF and do not operate until inspected, repaired, and/or replaced.
4. If the joystick stem is damaged, it can cause the chair to operate erratically. Turn the power wheelchair OFF and do not operate until inspected, repaired, and/or replaced.
5. If any of the device cabling becomes frayed, cut, or disconnected in any way, turn the power OFF and do not operate until inspected, repaired, and/or replaced.

This user manual will help you to use and maintain your product safely.

Area of application: The User
The controls for power wheelchairs are exclusively for a user who is unable to walk or has limited mobility, for their own personal use indoors and outdoors, and thus requires a power wheelchair. Driving a powered wheelchair requires cognitive, physical, and visual skills. The user must be able to estimate and correct the results of actions when operating the wheelchair.
The user must be informed of the contents of this user manual before driving the wheelchair. In addition, the user of the wheelchair must be given thorough instruction by a qualifi ed specialist before he or she participates in traffi c. The first sessions in the wheelchair should be practiced under the supervision of a trainer/adviser.

Product Description

The Switch-It VersaGuide™ and VersaGuide™ EZ are compact joysticks that can be mounted in many locations. The virtually unlimited mounting options are what give the versatile VersaGuide its name. The VersaGuide and the VersaGuide EZ both provide for proportional control (forward, reverse, left, and right) as well as two switched connections for mode and on/off , with an option for mounting the switches. The VersaGuide differs from the VersaGuide EZ in the amount of actuation force required to attain full speed. VersaGuide requires around 240 grams while the EZ requires around 120 grams.

• Invacare Electronics: Invacare MK6 Sip N’ Puff Module (SNPMK6) is required. MicroPilot™ for Invacare (MP-I) version must be requested at time of order.

Key Features

• Unique to the VersaGuide are the two SmartJack sensor inputs, located on the underside of the joystick enclosure. The SmartJacks automatically adapt to both proximity and mechanical switches.
• The 1/8-in monojack “pigtail” on the D-Sub 9 cable is connected to the right SmartJack port and should be plugged into the power port on the Omni or Enhanced Display.
• The second SmartJack port can be setup through the power wheelchair programming as a user switch.
• Zero touch proximity sensors in flexible goosenecks mounted to the joystick with special hardware are popular for use with both the VersaGuide and VersaGuide EZ.
• The VersaGuide EZ with a chin cup is recommended for chin control.

Warranty

Each Switch-It device is carefully inspected and tested to provide peak performance. Every Switch-It device is covered under a limited, express warranty.

1. All electronic components are covered under warranty for twelve (12) months from the date of shipment, provided normal use, unless modified or damaged.
2. All mounting hardware is covered under warranty for twelve (12) months from the date of shipment, provided normal use, unless modified or damaged.
3. All wearable items (covers, pads, etc.) are covered under warranty for three (3) months from the date of shipment, provided normal use, unless modifi ed or damaged.

Warranty claims should be processed through the nearest Sunrise Medical authorized dealer. A Return Authorization number must be obtained prior to returning the item for evaluation, along with details of the issue.
Items returned for warranty claim must be evaluated by Switch-It before warranty determination is made. Should a defect in materials or workmanship occur during the warranty period, and the item has not been modifi ed or damaged, Switch-It will, at its option, rework or replace it without charge.
Except for express warranties made herein, all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded. There is no implied warranty beyond what is contained herein. Remedies for breach of express warranties herein are limited to rework or replacement of the goods. In no event shall damages for breach of any warranty include any consequential damages or exceed the cost of non- conforming goods sold.

We at SUNRISE MEDICAL have been awarded the ISO-13485 certifi cate, which affi rms the quality of our products at every stage, from R & D to production. This product meets the requirements in accordance with EU regulations. Options or accessories shown are available at extra cost.
The varieties of fitting variants, as well as the modular design, mean that it can be used by those who cannot walk or have limited mobility because of:

• Paralysis
• Extremity defect deformity
• Illnesses such as heart and circulation deficiencies, disturbance of equilibrium or cachexia as well as for elderly people who still have strength in the upper body.
• Loss of extremity (leg amputation)
• Joint contractures/joint injuries

The wheelchair shall not be used in case of:

• Perception disorder
• Imbalance
• Seating disability

NOTE: General user advice. Not following these instructions may result in physical injury, damage to the product or damage to the environment!
A notice to the user and/or patient that any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/or patient is established.
As the manufacturer, SUNRISE MEDICAL, declares that this product conforms to the Medical Device Regulation (2017/745).

B4Me special adaptations
Sunrise Medical strongly recommends that in order to ensure that your B4Me product operates, and performs as intended by the manufacturer; all the user information supplied with your B4Me product is read and understood, before the product is first used. Sunrise Medical also recommends that the user information is not discarded after reading it, but it is kept safely stored for future reference.

All combinations listed have been validated to meet the General Safety and Performance Requirements, section 14.1 of the Medical Device Regulation 2017/745.
