A New Way to Brew
The VacOne Air Brewer is a unique 2-in-1 coffee and cold brew maker that
utilizes patented technology to brew delicious coffee and cold brew in
minutes. Our exclusive Vac-Tec technology uses a high-pressure vacuum,
allowing you to brew both hot coffee and cold brew at the touch of a button.
Enjoy a smooth and velvety cup of hot coffee in under a minute, or a glass of
sweet and intense cold brew in only 4 minutes.
Out of the box, the VacOne contains everything you need (minus the water and
coffee) to start brewing amazing coffee or cold brew. Simply add coffee
grounds and water to the chamber, let the coffee steep and press the button on
the top of the chamber.
Charging Your VacOne
Use the included micro-USB cable to charge your VacOne. The charging port for
the VacOne can be found below the yellow cap on the underside of the water
chamber. Unthread the yellow cap, plug the micro-USB cable into the charging
port and plug the other end of the cable directly into the USB port of your
computer. When plugged in, a red LED light will appear below the on/off button
indicating that the VacOne is charging. Once fully charged the LED light will
turn off.
Note : The VacOne will charge in approximately 2 hours. A full charge can brew up to 100 times.
Making Hot Coffee
-
Place the VacOne onto the glass carafe.
-
Add 4 scoops of fine-medium ground coffee (approximately 25g) into the VacOne.
Note : Use a grind setting that is about 30-35% from the finest setting on your grinder. -
Add hot water to the line on the inside edge of the chamber that corresponds to the coffee strength that you prefer. Add to the top line (400ml) for lighter coffee, to the middle line (350ml) for normal strength coffee, or to the bottom line (300ml) for strong coffee.
Note : Water falling into the carafe while pre-infusing is normal. -
Stir the coffee with the included stir stick so that the grounds fall to the bottom of the chamber.
-
Allow the coffee to steep for one minute (counted from the first pour of water) and press the button to start the air brewing process.
-
When the chamber is empty press the button again to stop air brewing.
Note : Some experimentation may be necessary to achieve what you consider your ideal cup of coffee. The grind size and amount of water can be adjusted until you achieve your ideal flavor profile.
Making Cold Brew
-
Place the VacOne onto the glass carafe.
-
Add 5 scoops of finely ground coffee (approximately 32g) into the VacOne.
Note : Use a grind setting that is about 20-25% from the finest setting on your grinder. -
Add room temperature water to the bottom line (300ml) on the inside edge of the chamber.
Note : Water falling into the carafe while pre-infusing is normal. -
Stir the coffee with the included stir stick so that the grounds fall to the bottom of the chamber.
-
Allow the coffee to steep for four minutes (counted from the first pour of water) and press the button to start the air brewing process.
-
When the chamber is empty press the button again to stop air brewing.
After Brewing
- When brewing is complete let the VacOne sit for a few seconds for pressure to dissipate.
- Use the stir stick to break the coffee crust and fully dissipate the vacuum in the glass carafe. You will hear a hiss when the vacuum releases.
- Remove the VacOne from the glass carafe by holding the handle of the glass carafe and pressing up on the VacOne with your thumb.
Tips For a Successful Brew
The process for making coffee in your VacOne is simple but there are a few
things to keep in mind to ensure a successful brew.
- Make sure that the filter assembly is securely in place. This can be checked by pressing down on the filter assembly at the bottom of the water chamber with your fingers.
- Ensure that the battery is charged and that the yellow cap covering the charging port is threaded tightly.
- When placing the VacOne onto the glass carafe make sure that the seal is not distorted against the carafe or dislodged from the body of the VacOne.
- Never attempt to force the glass carafe open after brewing. Always dissipate the vacuum created during the brewing process before attempting to remove the VacOne from the glass carafe.
- Never use boiling water. Coffee is best when brewed between 195°F and 205°F (91°C-96°C).
- Do not place the VacOne in the dishwasher.
- Do not place the VacOne in the microwave.
- Ensure that the product has dried out completely after washing and before storing.
- To prevent damage when cleaning, do not use abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or other cleaning agents.
- FRAGILE – Handle the carafe with care to avoid breaking/shattering the glass.
Cleaning Your VacOne ****
To clean your VacOne loosen the coffee grounds with the stir stick and dump
the coffee grounds into the trash. Rinse the upper chamber under the faucet of
your sink, repeating as needed to remove the remaining coffee grounds. If
there are coffee grounds stuck to the filter use the stir stick to gently
loosen the grounds and continue rinsing. There is no need to remove the filter
from the chamber when cleaning. If you notice that coffee oils and other
residue is starting to build up you can wash the chamber with soap, making
sure to thoroughly rinse to remove all soap residue. If necessary, you can
also remove the filter for a thorough cleaning from time to time.
