The product is a shelving unit that comes in three different models: 1312, 1316, and 4964. The product has an upper frame, front and rear frame legs, X brace, leg joint, and shelves of varying sizes. The product comes with a manufacturer warranty that covers any missing or damaged parts due to manufacturer defects for one year after purchase.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Make sure you have all the hardware provided with the product.
  2. Align the two front frame legs (B) with the two upper frames (A), and align two leg joints (E) with the corresponding holes. Use the two 4mm. allen wrenches (O) to secure four M6 x 12 mm. inner joint screws (K) through the frame and leg joints into four M6 x 15 mm. outer joint screws (L).
  3. Align the two rear frame legs (C) with the two upper frames (A), and align two leg joints (E) with the corresponding holes. Use the two 4mm. allen wrenches (O) to secure four M6 x 12 mm. inner joint screws (K) through the frame and leg joints into four M6 x 15 mm. outer joint screws (L).
  4. Align the small shelf (I) with the upper holes on one upper frame (A). Use the 4mm. allen wrench (O) to secure the shelf to the frame using two M7 x 48mm. shelf screws (J). Repeat steps for the medium shelf (H), large shelf (G), and extra large shelf (F), moving from top to bottom.
  5. Align the small shelf (I) with the upper holes on the other upper frame (A). Use the 4mm. allen wrench (O) to secure the shelf to the frame using two M7 x 48mm. shelf screws (J). Repeat steps for the medium shelf (H), large shelf (G), and extra large shelf (F), moving from top to bottom.
  6. Use the M4 stamped wrench (Q) and 3 mm. allen wrench (P) to attach the X brace (D) to the upper frames (A) and rear frame legs (C) using the four M4 x 30mm. X brace screws (M) and the four M4 cap nuts (N).

  • Do not mount or attach anything to the sides, rear or front of the unit as this can create a force which can cause the unit to tip. Serious bodily injury and/or damage to personal belongings may occur.
  • Do not stack units. Stacking of units can cause an unsafe tip-over hazard which may cause serious bodily injury and/or damage to personal belongings.
  • Do not hang this unit on the wall. The product structure is not designed for wall hanging. Serious bodily injury, damage to personal belongings, and/or damage to the wall may occur.
  • Follow proper safety procedures when using power tools and ladders (when applicable).
  • We recommend you protect your work surface during assembly to prevent scratching or damage to table tops, wood floors, etc.

STEP 1 Attach front frame legs to upper frame.

Align the two front frame legs (B) with the two upper frames (A), and align two leg joints (E) with the corresponding holes. STEP 2 Attach rear frame legs to upper frame.

Align the two rear frame legs (C) with the two upper frames (A), and align two leg joints (E) with the corresponding holes. STEP 3 Attach shelves to one side of the frame.

Align the small shelf (I) with the upper holes on one upper frame (A). Use the 4 mm. allen wrench (O) to secure the shelf to the frame using two M7 x 48 mm. shelf screws (J). STEP 4 Attach shelves to other side of frame.

STEP 5 Attach X brace to upper frames and rear frame legs.

Use the M4 stamped wrench (Q) and 3 mm. allen wrench (P) to attach the X brace (D) to the upper frames (A) and rear frame legs (C) using the four M4 x 30 mm. X brace screws (M) and the four M4 cap nuts (N).CLOSETMAID 1312, 1316, 4964

STEP 6a Secure L brackets to unit.

The unit must be secured to at least one stud. Locate a stud and place unit in desired location on the wall, making sure the  is within the width of the shelf. Place the longer edge of the L bracket (R) on the bottom of the small shelf (I) next to the align the shorter edge of the L bracket with the stud, and use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to secure the L bracket to the using one M4 x 15 mm. screw (S). Mark the stud location on the wall, but do not secure the unit yet. STEP 6b Secure unit to wall.

To secure the drywall-mounted L bracket (R), rotate unit away from wall , drill a 7/32” hole at the marked location, and place one drywall anchor (U) in the wall. Rotate unit back into position and use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to secure both L brackets (R) to the wall using two M4 x 35 mm. screws (T) on the marked stud location and in the drywall anchor.CLOSETMAID 1312, 1316, 4964
