Product Information

The product is a lighting fixture with item number N7548-729, manufactured on July 7, 2022. It comes with a mounting plate, anchor bolt, self-tapping screws, fixture screws, canopy, cable lock, safety cable, fixture wire, ground screw, rod, candle cover, decorative nut, and arms. The fixture can hold up to eight candelabra base bulbs up to 60 watts each or CFL or LED equivalent. The product must not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Unpack the fixture and ensure all parts are present.
  2. Turn off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker and remove any old fixtures and mounting hardware if necessary.
  3. Determine the desired hanging height and thread the rods into the top all threads of the fixture body. Thread the loop onto the top of the rods and pass the fixture wires through each rod and loop as you assemble.
  4. Connect the loop to the canopy with the quick link.
  5. Drill holes on the ceiling in accordance with the holes in the mounting plate and knock anchor bolt into the holes. Attach the mounting plate to the outlet box using self-tapping screws.
  6. Lace safety cable through the side of a hickey. Loop safety cable around hickey and secure assembly with screws on cable lock as shown. Run the cable through the top of the outlet box and secure it to a structural member.
  7. Connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig. 3. If your outlet box has a ground wire, connect the fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the mounting strap using the green screw provided. Tuck wire connectors neatly into the outlet box.
  8. Place fixture canopy over two fixture screws (or all thread) and secure with decorative nuts. Install glass to arm and secure with screws and plastic washers provided.
  9. Fasten the small arm to the inside of the frame and secure it with screws. Fasten the large arm to the outside of the frame and secure it with screws. Place the candle cover on the socket.
  10. Install up to eight candelabra base bulbs up to 60 watts each or CFL or LED equivalent in accordance with the fixture specification. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
  11. Turn on the power and test the fixture.

Note: Do not clean your light fixture or parts with water or cleanser.

WARNING: SHUT POWER OFF AT THE FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER.

PREPARING THE FIXTURE

  1. Carefully unpack the new fixture and lay out all the parts in a clear area. Take care not to lose any parts necessary for installation.

  2. Shut off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker. If necessary, remove the old fixture, including the mounting hardware.

  3. By measuring determine desired hanging height and thread rods (C & I) into the top of all threads of the fixture body. Then thread loop (D) onto the top of the rods.

  4. Carefully pass fixture wires through each rod and loop (D) as you assemble.

  5. Connect loop (D) to the canopy with a quick link (E).
    MOUNTING THE FIXTURE

  6. Drill holes on the ceiling in accordance with holes in the mounting plate and knock anchor bolts into the holes.

  7. Attach the mounting plate to the outlet box (not included) using self-tapping screws. The side of the mounting plate marked “GND” must face out.

  8. Lace safety cable through the side of a hickey. Loop safety cable around hickey and secure assembly with screws on cable lock as shown. Run the cable through the top of the outlet box and secure to a structural member.
    CONNECTING THE WIRES

  9. At this point, connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig. 3, making sure that all wire connectors are secured. If your outlet box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire directly to the mounting strap using the green screw provided.

  10. Tuck wire connectors neatly into the outlet box.
    FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

  11. Place fixture canopy (F) over two fixture screws (or all thread) and secure with decorative nuts.

  12. Install glass (H) to arm and secure with screws and plastic washers provided.

  13. Fasten small arm (B) to the inside of the frame and secure with screws.

  14. Fasten large arm (A) to the outside of the frame and secure with screws.

  15. Place candle cover (G) on the socket.

  16. Install (8) eight candelabra base bulbs up to 60 watts each or CFL or LED equivalent (not included) in accordance with the fixture specification—DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING! (NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE!).

Your installation is now complete. Return power to the outlet box and test the fixture.

  • IMPORTANT: For a safe and secure installation, these fixtures must be installed by means of supports that are independent of the outlet box.
  • (Note – For heavy fixtures hickey and cable lock are provided, other required hardware is to be supplied by the installer)
