Product Information

The TRB142 is a cellular router that provides reliable and secure Internet connectivity for industrial applications. It supports various RF technologies such as 2G, 3G, and 4G and has a maximum RF power of 33 dBm@GSM, 24 dBm@WCDMA, and 23 dBm@LTE. It comes with a power adapter that has an input of 0.4 A@100-240 VAC and an output of 9 VDC, 0.5 A, 4-pin plug. The mobile antenna bundled with the device has specifications of 699~868 / 1850~2690 MHz, 50 , VSWR. The device has a power socket, RS232 interface, USB port, mobile antenna connector, and reset button located on the front and back view of the device. The front view has a power LED, while the back view has mobile network-type LEDs and mobile signal strength indication LEDs. It also has a DB9 connector pinout and power socket pinout. The device configuration can be accessed through the admin login using the credentials admin/admin01. It displays technical information such as the data connection state, SIM card slot in use, and bytes received/sent.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Hardware Installation:
   • Connect the power adapter to the power socket of the device.
   • Connect the mobile antenna to the mobile antenna connector.
   • Connect any other necessary peripherals to the USB port or RS232 interface.
   • Press the reset button if required.
2. Device Configuration:
   • Access the device configuration by logging in as admin using the credentials admin/admin01.
   • View the technical information such as the data connection state, SIM card slot in use, and bytes received/sent.
   • Configure the device settings according to your requirements.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION

1. Unscrew two back panel hex bolts and remove the back panel.
2. Insert your SIM card into the SIM socket.
3. Attach the panel and tighten the hex bolts.
4. Attach the mobile antenna (max torque 0.4 N·m / 3.5 lbf·in) and connect the USB cable.

DEVICE CONFIGURATION

1. Power on the device and connect the USB cable to your computer.
2. Allow the gateway to boot up. This might take up to 30 seconds.
3. Your computer’s OS should detect the USB device and install the driver.
4. To enter the gateway’s Web interface (WebUI), type http://192.168.2.1 into the URL field of your Internet browser.
5. Use the login information shown in image A when prompted for authentication.
6. After logging in pay attention to the Signal Strength indication displayed in the Mobile widget (image B). To maximize the cellular performance try adjusting the antennas or changing the location of your device to achieve the best signal conditions.
