Product Information

The Front Runner Toyota Hilux Slimsport Rack Wind Fairing is a wind deflector designed to reduce wind noise and drag when using the Slimsport Rack. The fairing comes with all the necessary components for installation, including wind fairing side supports, light bar brackets, M6x16 flange button head screws, M8x16 hex head bolts, M8 nyloc nuts, M8 nut caps, and wind fairing rubber.

Product Usage

1. Before starting the installation process, read the fitting instructions provided and familiarize yourself with the components received.
2. Refer to page 2 of the manual for a list of all the components, quantities, and tools required.
3. Use a Torx cordless driver and a 13mm wrench to install the wind fairing. Slide one M8 x 16 Hex Head Bolt into the T-slot of the front slat. Center the mid support bracket in the middle of the slat and secure it using an M8 Nyloc Nut. Place an M8 Nut Cap over the Nyloc Nut. Fit the Light Bar Bracket 01 LH/RH for the 40 Light Bar using M8x16 Hex Bolt & M8 Nyloc Nut. Fit the light bar and center it on the slat before fully tightening the brackets. Place an M8 Nut Cap over all Hex Bolts.
4. Secure assembly 2.2 to the front two top holes on the foot rails using the fasteners supplied with KSTH002. Tighten Torque to 8-10Nm / 5.9 ft lb – 7.38 ft lb.
5. To secure the Wind Fairing Side Supports LH/RH to the foot rails top holes, use the Torx cordless driver and M6x16 Flange Button Head screws.
6. Fit the Wind Fairing Rubber to the Light Bar Wind Fairing. Use the notched section as a guide and trim if needed.
7. Secure the Light Bar Wind Fairing assembly to the rack assembly using M8x16 Flange Button Heads and fully tighten.
8. Once installation is complete, take a step back and admire your work!

TOOLS NEEDED

FIT AND SECURE

1. Slide one M8 x 16 Hex Head Bolt (Item 7) into the T-slot of the front slat. Center the mid support bracket in the middle of the slat and secure using M8 Nyloc Nut (Item 8). Fully tighten.  Place a M8 Nut Cap over the Nyloc Nut.
2. Fit the Light Bar Bracket 01 LH / RH (Item 4) for the 40″ Light Bar, using M8x16 Hex Bolt & M8 Nyloc Nut (Items 7 & 8). Fit the light bar and center it on the slat before fully tightening the brackets. Place M8 Nut Caps (Item 9) over all Hex Bolts.
3. Secure assembly 2.2 to the front two top holes on the foot rails using the fasteners supplied with KSTH002.
   • Tightening Torque 8-10Nm / 5.9 ft lb – 7.38 ft lb.
4. Secure the Wind Fairing Side Supports LH / RH (Item 2) to the foot rails top holes as shown using M6x16 Flange Button Head (Item 6).
5. Fit the Wind Fairing Rubber (Item 13) to the Light Bar Wind Fairing (Item 1). Using the notched section as a guide, trim if needed. Secure the Light Bar Wind Fairing assembly to the rack assembly, using M8x16 Flange Button Heads (Item 6) and fully tighten.
