Product Information
The CFS2853V is a freezer that comes with a quick start guide to help users get started using the product. Using the Freezer
- Turn on the freezer by using the power button.
- To turn off the freezer, press the power button again.
- To change the temperature in the freezer, follow these steps:
- Press the temperature button.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting.
- Press the temperature button again to save the new setting.
- To make ice cubes, follow these steps:
- Fill the ice cube tray with water.
- Insert the tray into the designated area in the freezer.
- Wait for the water to freeze and remove the ice cubes from the tray.

Intended use
This product is only intended for:
- Indoor use in a household or a similar environment such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments;
- farmhouses;
- by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential-type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments;
- catering and similar non-retail applications.
- Household use, such as storage of food and beverages.
This refrigerating product is not intended to be used as a built-in appliance.
Safety for children and people with disabilities
WARNING!
Only let the following groups use the product if they are supervised or if
instructions are provided to them about how to use the product in a safe way.
They must understand the hazards involved.
- Children. (Children younger than 8 years old must be continuously supervised.)
- People with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities.
- People with a lack of experience and knowledge.

- Do not let children play with the product.
- Do not let children clean the product without supervision.
- Do not let children enter or climb inside the product, otherwise, they may suffocate or fall.

Keep all packaging away from children as there is a risk of suffocation.
General safety
WARNING!
- Take care when moving the product. The product is heavy.
- Do not stand on any parts of the product or use any parts of the product as support.
- Do not use electrical products on the top of the freezer, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not place heavy objects on the top of the freezer. They may fall when switching the door and cause injuries.
- Disconnect the freezer from the mains if there is a power outage or if you need to clean the freezer. Wait for at least five minutes before reconnecting the freezer to the mains to avoid harming the compressor from repeated starting.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- If the power socket is loose, do not plug in the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock and fire.
- Do not pull on the power cord when you unplug the product. Grab the power plug firmly and pull it out of the power socket.
- Do not damage the power cord or use the power cord if it is damaged or worn. Any damage to the cord may cause a short circuit, fire, and electric shock.
WARNING!
- The following symbol can be found on the product. It is a warning and indicates that the refrigerant and insulation-blowing gas are flammable.
- During transportation and installation of the product, ensure that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged. The refrigerant, isobutane (R600a), contained within the refrigerant circuit is flammable.
- In case of leakage of gas and other flammable gases, turn off the valve of the leaking gas and then open the doors and windows . Do not unplug the refrigerator and other electrical products because sparks may cause a fire.
- If the refrigerant circuit is damaged, avoid open flames and sources of ignition and thoroughly ventilate the area surrounding the product.
- Do not alter the specifications or modify the product in any way.
- Do not place flammable items near the freezer.
Safety during installation
WARNING!
Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
WARNING!
- When positioning the product, ensure the power cord and power plug are not trapped or damaged. A damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.
- When positioning the product, ensure the stability of the product according to the instructions.
- This product must be placed on a level surface of hard material that is the same height as the rest of the flooring.
- This surface should be strong enough to support a fully loaded product.
- Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to the socket.
- Disconnect the freezer from the mains before installing accessories.
- When positioning the product, ensure the power plug is accessible.
- Do not install the product in a location with direct sunlight.
- Do not install the product in areas with moisture or where it can get splashed with water, as it can harm the electrical insulation properties.
- Keep ventilation openings outside the product clear of obstruction.
- Do not install the product without sufficient space and air ventilation around the product. This leads to overheating.
- Do not install the back of the product too close to a wall. There is a risk of fire if the compressor gets overheated.
- Do not install the product close to radiators, cookers or other heat sources.
WARNING!
- Do not connect the product to the power socket if the product is damaged. Contact the retailer from which you purchased the product.
- The product must employ a dedicated power socket, meaning that the power socket must not be shared with other products.
- Do not locate multiple portable socket outlets or portable power supplies behind the product.
- The power plug must match the power socket equipped with a ground wire.
- Do not use extension cords and do not lengthen the power cord.
- After positioning the product, it is recommended to wait at least 0.5 hours before connecting the product to the mains.
- If the fluctuation of voltage in the installation area exceeds the single-phase alternating current of 220~240V/50Hz, use an AC automatic voltage regulator of more than 350W.
CAUTION!
This product performs well within the climate class SN, N, and ST. The product
may not work properly if it is exposed to temperatures above or below
temperature ranges spanning from 10°C to 38°C for a long period.
Safety during operation
WARNING!
- Do not store flammable, volatile, highly corrosive or explosive substances (such as aerosol cans that contain a flammable propellant), in this product. There is a risk of damage to the product, fire accidents or explosions.
WARNING!
Keep burning candles, lamps and other items with naked flames away from the
product to avoid the risk of fire.
WARNING!
- Do not place food or containers in the freezer compartment with wet hands when the product is running, especially metal containers, to avoid the risk of skin abrasions and ice burns.
- Do not consume frozen food, such as ice popsicles and ice cubes, straight from the freezer. This may cause ice burns.
WARNING!
- Keep ventilation openings inside the product clear of obstruction.
- The product shall run continuously once it is started. The operation of the product shall not be interrupted otherwise the service life may be impaired.
- Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the product, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not put too much food in the drawers to avoid items falling and causing injury or damage to the freezer.
- Do not put your fingers in the small gaps between the freezer door and the cabinet to avoid getting them pinched.
CAUTION!
- Do not place hot items near the plastic components of the product.
- Do not place food products directly against the air outlet on the rear wall.
CAUTION!
- The storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to.
- Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer’s instructions.
- To avoid the frozen food from getting too warm while defrosting the fridge, take precautions such as applying the food in multiple layers of newspaper.
- Do not freeze frozen food again once it has thawed out.
- Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer as it creates pressure in the container, which may cause it to explode and damage the product.
- Do not place bottles or enclosed containers containing liquids in the freezer. The containers may crack because of freezing.
Safety during maintenance
WARNING!
Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the product should be
carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
- This product must be serviced by an authorized Service Center, and only genuine spare parts must be used.
WARNING!
Before any cleaning or performing any maintenance of the product, unplug the
product from the power socket.
WARNING!
Do not use tools or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other
than those recommended by the manufacturer.
CAUTION!
- Ensure that frozen food does not increase in temperature during manual defrosting, maintenance or cleaning. It can reduce the storage time.
- Do not use metal objects, steam cleaner, thinner, car detergent, Clorox, ethereal oil, abrasive cleansers or organic solvent such as benzene for cleaning. They may damage the surface of the product and may cause fire.
- Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the product. Use a plastic scraper.
- Do not spray water on the product
Disposal
DANGER!
- To prevent children from getting trapped inside, remove the doors before disposing of the product.
- Leave the drawers in place so that children can not climb inside.
WARNING!
- If the product has a spring lock on the door. Make the spring lock unusable before disposing of the product.
- To prevent children from getting an electric shock, cut the power cord before disposing of the product.
WARNING!
Ensure that the tubing of the refrigerant circuit is not damaged prior to
disposal. Refrigerators contain refrigerant, cyclopentane foaming material,
and gases in the insulation. Refrigerants and gases must be disposed of
professionally at an authorized waste disposal center as they may cause eye
injuries or ignition. The refrigerant and insulation-blowing gas are
flammable. Do not expose to flame. Dispose of packaging in an environmentally-
friendly manner. Recycling packaging, while observing national and local
regulations can reduce the consumption of raw materials and the amount of
waste in landfill sites.
This product is marked in compliance with European Directive 2012/19/EU, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product should not be treated as household waste. Instead, it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. Storing food in the freezer
Defrosting spatula For scraping away the ice when defrosting the freezer.
Ice cube tray For making ice cubes in the freezer. Temperature-control knob

Freezer interior
The freezer keeps the food fresh for a long time and is suitable for storing
meat, fish, ice cream, and other foods that are not intended to be consumed in
the short term. The freezer is equipped with three drawers.
NOTE!
- This freezer is most energy efficient with all drawers in their original positions.
- Storing too much food in your freezer may affect your performance negatively.
- To save energy and not increase the temperature, avoid keeping the door open for a long time.
Before first use
Prepare the freezer for use before plugging it in and storing food
- Make sure the freezer is unpacked and placed properly.
- Leave the freezer to stand for 0.5 hours before plugging it in.
- Plug in the power cord.
- Let the freezer run empty for 2-3 hours (in warmer weather, let the freezer run empty for 4+ hours). Your freezer is now ready for use.
NOTE!
The default temperature in the freezer is -18 °C. This is the recommended
temperature setting when the freezer is initially powered on. Make sure the
recommended temperature setting is selected (between the 2 and 3 indications).
NOTE!
Storing too much food when your freezer is first turned on may affect the
performance negatively.
Using the freezer

- Plug in the freezer.
- Open the freezer door.
- Turn the temperature-control knob to turn on the freezer
Turn off the freezer
****To turn off the freezer, do one of the following:
Turn the temperature selector knob to.
- Unplug the freezer.
- Change the temperature in the freezer
- Set the average temperature for the whole freezer compartment.
CAUTION!
- A high-temperature setting will accelerate food waste.
- A very low-temperature setting is unnecessary and wastes energy.
- For optimum food preservation, set the temperature to a medium setting (between 2 and 3 on the temperature selector knob).
To turn off the freezer, do one of the following
- Turn the temperature selector knob to.
- Unplug the freezer.
- Change the temperature in the freezer
- Set the average temperature for the whole freezer compartment.
CAUTION!

Make ice cubes
Use the ice cube tray to make ice cubes.
- Fill the ice cube tray with water up to eighty percent.
- Place the ice cube tray in the freezer and wait at least two hours for the water to freeze.
- Gently twist the tray to separate the ice cubes from the tray
