Product Information

The LI-ION 12V Dual Action Polisher is a power tool used for polishing and buffing automotive surfaces. It is equipped with a 12V lithium-ion battery for cordless operation and a dual action pad motion for efficient and effective polishing. The polisher has a compact and ergonomic design for comfortable handling, and it comes with a polishing pad and microfiber cloth for easy cleaning.

  • Keep power tools away from rain or moisture. The penetration of water into a power tool increases the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not misuse the connecting cable to carry or hang up the power tool or use it to pull the plug out of the socket. Keep the connecting cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged or tangled connecting cables increase the risk of electric shock.
  • If you are working outdoors with a power tool, only use extension cables that are suitable for outdoor use. Using an extension cable that is suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
  • If operating the electric tool in a humid environment is unavoidable, use a fault-current circuit breaker. Using a fault-current circuit breaker reduces the risk of electric shock.

Safety of Persons

  • Pay attention, watch what you are doing, and work sensibly with a power tool. Do not use an electric tool if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of carelessness when using the power tool can result in serious injuries.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, and always wear protective goggles. Depending on the type and use of the power tool, wearing personal protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, a hard hat or hearing protection reduces the risk of injuries.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Charge the lithium-ion battery before use by connecting the charger to an electrical outlet and the battery to the charger. The charging time is approximately 1 hour.
  2. Attach the polishing pad to the polisher by aligning the Velcro backing of the pad with the Velcro surface of the polisher’s head.
  3. Apply a small amount of polish onto the pad and spread it evenly over the surface to be polished.
  4. Turn on the polisher by pressing the power button and adjust the speed setting as desired using the speed control dial.
  5. Place the pad onto the surface to be polished and move the polisher in a back-and-forth motion while applying light pressure. Avoid placing excessive pressure on the polisher as it may damage the surface.
  6. Clean the surface with a microfiber cloth after polishing and remove any excess polish from the pad. Store the polisher and accessories in a dry and safe place.

GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION FOR POWER TOOLS

    • d) Remove any adjustment tools or wrenches before switching on the power tool. A tool or wrench that is in a rotating part of the power tool can cause injuries.
    • e) Avoid abnormal postures. Ensure you have a firm footing, and keep your balance at all times.
    • This gives you better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
    • f) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can become caught in moving parts.
    • g) If dust extraction and collection devices can be fitted, they must be connected and used properly. Using a dust extractor can reduce hazards caused by dust.
    • h) Do not be lulled into a false sense of security and ignore the safety rules for power tools, even if you use them regularly and are familiar with them. Careless behavior can lead to serious injury in a fraction of a second.
  4. Use and handling of the power tool

    • a) Do not overload the power tool. Use the power tool that is intended for your work. Within the specified performance range, the use of the appropriate power tools can be better and safer work.
    • b) Do not use a power tool with a defective switch. A power tool that can no longer be switched on or off is dangerous and must be repaired.
    • c) Pull the plug out of the socket and / or remove a removable battery before changing the device settings, replacing parts or putting the power tool away. This precautionary measure prevents the power tool from starting up unintentionally.
    • d) Keep unused power tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons to use the power tool who are unfamiliar with it or have not read this manual. It is dangerous for an inexperienced person to use power tools.
    • e) Keep power tools and the insertion tool with care. Check whether the moving parts can work normally, whether there is jamming phenomenon, whether there is any part damage or serious damage, affecting the function of the power tool. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
    • f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam, and are easier to control.
    • g) Use the power tool, accessories, insertion tools etc. in accordance with these instructions. Take the working conditions and the work to be carried out into account. The use of power tools for applications other than those for which they are intended can lead to hazardous situations.
    • h) Keep the handles and gripping surfaces dry, clean and free of oil and grease. If the handle and clamping surface of the power tool are slippery, the power tool cannot be safely operated and controlled under unforeseen circumstances.
  5. Use and handling of the battery tool

    • a) The batteries can only be charged with the chargers that are recommended by the manufacturer. A charger suitable for a certain type of battery represents a fire hazard if it is used with other batteries.
    • b) Only use the batteries provided for this purpose in the power tools. The use of other batteries can lead to injuries and fire hazards.
    • c) Keep the unused batteries away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws,and other small metallic objects which could cause bridging of the contacts. A short circuit between the battery contacts can result in burns or fire.
    • d) If used improperly, liquid will leak out from the battery. Avoid contact with liquids. In case of accidental contact, rinse with water. If fluid gets in the eye, seek medical attention immediately. Leaking battery fluid can cause skin irritation or burns.
    • e) Do not use damaged or modified batteries. Damaged or modified batteries can behave unpredictably and lead to fire, explosion or risk of injury.
    • f) Do not expose a battery to fire or excessive temperatures. Fire or temperatures above 130 ℃ can cause an explosion.
    • g) Follow all of the charging instructions, and never charge the battery or the cordless tool outside of the temperature range specified in the operating manual. Improper charging or charging outside the permitted temperature range can destroy the battery and increase the risk of fire.
  6. Service

    • a) Always have your power tool repaired by qualified specialist personnel and only with original spare parts. This ensures that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
    • b) Do not perform maintenance on damaged batteries. All battery maintenance must be carried out by the manufacturer or authorized customer service centers.

Note:

  • Only use the supplied charger.
  • When you are disconnecting the charger from the socket, pull on the plug and not on the cable.
  • If the charger is defective, do not use it to recharge the battery, but replace it immediately with an original charger.
  • Defective batteries must not be thrown away in the waste, but handed in to collection points.

Electrical safety

  • Remove the battery from the machine before making any adjustments, changing the polishing pad or putting the machine away again.

Service:

Safety information about the battery and the charger:

  1. Only charge the 12V battery with the supplied charger, otherwise the battery may become damaged and lead to a risk of injury and fire.
  2. Do not charge the battery if the temperature is lower than 4 ℃ or higher than 40 ℃.
  3. Do not short-circuit the battery, since it will overheat and lead to a risk of fire.
  4. Do not expose the battery to water or rain.
  5. Do not throw the battery into the fire, since it could explode.
  6. The supplied charger may only be used in combination with the enclosed battery.
  7. Disconnect the plug of the charger from the mains socket before carrying out maintenance or cleaning work.
  8. Ambient temperature range for the use of the power tool and the battery: -10 – 55° C.
  9. Ambient temperature range for the storage of the power tool and the batteries: -5 – 35 ℃. Ambient temperature range for the charging system when charging: 4℃ – 40℃.

Sound and vibration

  • Note: The sound and vibration values have been measured in accordance with EN 62841-1 and EN 62841-2-4.
  • The specified vibration value and the determined noise emission values have been measured in accordance with a standardized test method and can be used to compare different power tools with each other. The specified overall vibration values and the specified noise emission values can also be used to make a preliminary assessment of the load.
  • Warning! USAGE SPECIFICATION

Before Use

  1. Check whether the battery packing tool is fully charged.
  2. Dust from material such as paint containing lead, some wood species, minerals and metal may be harmful (contact with or inhalation of the dust may cause allergi reactions and/or respiratory diseases to the operator or bystanders); wear a dust mask and work with a dust extraction device when connectable.
  3. Certain kinds of dust are classified as carcinogenic (such as oak and beech dust) especially in conjunction with additives for wood conditioning; wear a dust mask and work with a dust extraction device when connectable.
  4. Secure the workpiece (a workpiece clamped with clamping devices or in a vice is held more securely than by hand).
  5. Do not clamp the tool in a vice.

After Use

  1. Remove the battery pack after using the tool to ensure that all moving parts have been completely stopped.
  2. After switching off the tool, never stop the rotation of the accessory by a lateral force applied against it.

Use

  1. Mounting of accessories
    • Do not install the battery pack.
    • Simply press sponge pad onto velcro polishing disk.
    • For removing accessories handle vice-versa.
  2. Before using the tool
    • Ensure that accessory is correctly mounted and firmly tightened.
    • Check if accessory runs freely by turning it by hand.
    • Test-run tool for at least 30 seconds at highest no-load speed in a safe position.
    • Stop immediately in case of considerable vibration or other defects and check tool to determine the cause.
  3. On/off
    • Switch on/off the tool by pulling/releasing trigger.
  4. Operating the tool
    • Switch on the tool first,then place the tool fully on the surface to be polished and move it evenly by sections.
    • Before switching off the tool, you should lift it from the workpiece.
    • The accessory continues to rotate for a short time after the tool has been switched off.
  5. Holding and guiding the tool
    • While working, always hold the tool at the soft grip area(s) always hold the tool firmly with both hands, so you will have full control of the tool.
    • At all times.
    • Provide a secure stance
    • Do not apply so much pressure on the tool that it comes to a standstill.
    • Keep the ventilation slots I uncovered.

  1. Protect the tool from impact, shock, and grease.
