Product Information
The product is a floor sensor unit that can be used in combination with a thermostat. The sensor unit is designed to be placed under the top floor covering, and the tip of the cable sensor should be placed directly beneath it. The sensor unit is battery-powered and requires the installation of two batteries (included) into the backplate. The sensor unit can be mounted onto the backplate, which needs to be fixed with screws (not included). The cable sensor needs to be connected to the terminals inside the sensor unit, and there is no polarity requirement for this connection. The floor sensor can be set as floor protection or comfort mode, depending on the user’s preference.
Product Usage Instructions
- Place the floor sensor unit immediately under the top floor covering.
- Remove the backplate and insert the two batteries (included) into the sensor unit. Be aware of the +/- polarity.
- Mount the backplate onto the wall using screws (not included).
- Connect the cable sensor to the terminals inside the sensor unit. There is no polarity requirement for this connection.
- Pair/register the thermostat to the zone (channel) before pairing/registering the floor sensor to the same zone.
- Make all necessary connections to the controller (pump, actuators, and optionally potential free relay) before starting up. Refer to the controller manual for details.
- To set the floor sensor as floor protection, select this option in the menu and choose the operation mode. The maximum temperature should be set as described above.
- To set the floor sensor as comfort mode, select this option in the menu and choose the operation mode. The minimum and maximum temperatures should be set as described above.
- If using the floor sensor as floor protection, it will stop heating if the temperature goes above the set max. temperature. Below this temperature, the room sensor has priority.
- If using the floor sensor in comfort mode, the room sensor will have priority between the min. and max. setting. Outside this min/max setting, the floor sensor has priority.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
-
The floor sensor unit can be placed without any limitations, but the tip of the cable sensor should be placed directly beneath the top floor covering.
-
Remove the backplate and insert batteries (included). Be aware of the +/- polarity.
-
Mount backplate (screws not included) sensor unit slides onto the back plate.
-
Connect the cable sensor to the terminals inside the sensor unit (No Polarity, cables can be either way round).
-
A floor sensor can only be used in combination with a thermostat, this thermostat must be paired/registered to the zone (channel) first, before pairing/registration of the floor sensor to the same zone.
-
All connections must be made to the Controller (pump, actuators, and optionally potential free relay) before start-up. Please see the controller manual for details.
-
In the overview, you can see both the thermostat (setpoint 22,0°C, actual 25,0°C) and the actual floor temperature (21,0°C). Repeat this for all other zones/channels (2 to 8) with a floor sensor.
-
Operation/setting of the floor sensor is carried out on the display of the Controller. Floor sensor operation can be set up as either ”Floor protection” (standard) or ”Comfort” (min. Floor temp.)
-
Set the sensor as ”Floor protection”. Choose operation mode and choose ”Floor protection”.
-
Set max. floor temperature to protect your floor. Confirm with ”Menu”.
-
Set the sensor as ”Comfort”.
-
Set min. floor temperature for your comfort level. Confirm with ”Menu”. Max. temperature is set as described above.
-
Attention! Using the floor sensor as ”Floor protection”, the sensor will stop heating if the temperature goes above the set max. temperature. Below this temperature the room sensor has priority.
-
Using the floor sensor in ”Comfort” mode, the room sensor will have priority between min. and max. setting. Outside this min/max setting the floor sensor has a priority
