Roth Touchline PL Controller

Product Information

The product is a thermostat controller that allows users to set and change the temperature of a room. It also provides additional features such as viewing the battery level and sensor calibration value, locking the buttons, and returning to the current temperature view. The product has live connections that may cause fatal electric shock, and users are advised to switch off the 230V power supply before working on the controller to prevent accidental switching on.

Product Usage Instructions

Before working on the controller, always switch off the 230V power supply and prevent it from being accidentally switched on.
To mount the backplate of the thermostat on the wall, push lightly on the snap lock with a finger or screwdriver (if mounted on the wall) to slide the backplate of the thermostat.
Mount the backplate on the wall (screws not included), and then slide the thermostat onto the back plate.
In sleep mode, the current temperature is displayed. To set/change temperature, press the +/- button.
To view the battery level, select “Bat”, and the screen will flash for 3 seconds, displaying the level.
To view the sensor calibration value, select “Cal”, and the screen will flash for 3 seconds, displaying the value. The value can be changed on the controller; please refer to the user manual for instructions.
To lock the buttons, select “Loc”, and the screen will flash for 3 seconds. You can choose/confirm to activate the lock with yes/no. After activating Lock (yes), the lock will be activated after 10 seconds of inactivity. To unlock, press and hold +/-, and when “Ulc” appears, the buttons are unlocked.
To return from the menu manually, select “Ret”, and the screen will flash for 3 seconds, returning you to the view of the current temperature.

Installation

Roth wireless receiver

WARNING
Risk of fatal electric shock from touching live connections. Before working on the controller always switch off the 230V power supply and prevent it from being accidentally switched on.

- 230V pump output, max. load 0,5 A. Connect “brown” to L and “blue” to N. Cables must be secured.
- Actuator. Connect “brown” to L and “blue” to N. Cables must be secured. Use Roth Project actuators 230V 1 Watt, HVAC no. 7466275430. Max. 2 pcs. per channel.

Pairing/registering the thermostat. All connections must be made to the Controller (pump, actuator before start-up. Please see the controller manual for details. Press the registration button on the left side of the control unit (see picture 6) and then press the registration button on the room thermostat (see picture 7). The temperature is now shown in the display.

Attention! Do not press the buttons on the front of the thermostat whilst pushing the pairing button on the rear (see picture 7). Press the registration button again to register an additional thermostat. The thermostat is now connected to the channel. Make sure Ch.1/Ch.2 on the Controller light up when the room thermostat calls for heating.

If you want to use the thermostat as a free-standing, the supplied foot can be mounted in the back plate before it’s mounted again. The thermostat can be connected to all Controllers in the Roth Touchline® SL series.
Remove screw and slide backplate off.
Insert batteries (included), be aware of +/- polarity.
Mount backplate on the wall (screws not incl.) thermostat slides onto back plate.
