Product Information

The product is an electronic upright piano that comes with a stool and a microphone. The product code is 103777IM1 and the brand behind the product is Bontempi. The piano has a switch that can be used to turn it on or off and various features such as DEMO ALL, DEMO ONE, OKON, TEMPO, VOLUME, a headphone socket (not included), and a socket for an external audio source.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. To switch on the piano, use the ON/OFF switch located at position a.
  2. To listen to all the demo songs in sequence, press the DEMO ALL button located at position b.
  3. To select a specific demo song, press the DEMO ONE button located at position c.
  4. To play a song note after note, press a white or black key after pressing the OKON button located at position d.
  5. To regulate the rhythm speed of the song, use the TEMPO button located at position e.
  6. To regulate the general volume of the piano, use the VOLUME button located at position f.
  7. If you want to listen to the piano through headphones, plu them into the headphone socket located at position g (headphones not included).
  8. If you want to connect an external audio source to the piano, use the socket located at position h.

Note: Do not use alcohol, solvents, or similar chemical substances for cleaning. Use a soft cloth dampened in a bland solution of water and neutral detergent.

POWER SUPPLY: USB-DC CABLE

The instrument can be powered by a power bank, PC, phone charger, etc. with the USB-DC cable supplied.
Insert the jack in the DC socket 10.

MAINS SUPPLY

The instrument can be powered by a mains adaptor 100-240Vac (not included) with the following characteristics in output: VDC = 5V; I = 500 mA (positive central terminal). Insert the jack in the DC socket 10.

BATTERY SUPPLY

Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Insert 4 x 1.5 V batteries R6/AA (not supplied), ensuring correct polarity (+/–). Re-fit battery cover. Replace batteries when the quality of sound becomes bad. Use alkaline batteries to obtain a longer duration.

ATTENTION – BATTERY CARE

Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

  • Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the toy before being charged.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Different types of batteries or new and old batteries are not to be mixed
  • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type
  • Batteries are to be inserted with correct polarit
  • Remove exhausted batteries to prevent leakag
  • Do not short-circuit supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of nonuse.

WASTE DISPOSAL STANDARDS
For information regarding the disposal of the items mentioned here below, please refer to the Council Administration office regarding specialized waste collection centres.

  1. DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES:
    Protect the environment by disposing of batteries in the special containers provided for this use.

  2. PACKAGING DISPOSAL:
    Take the paper, cardboard and corrugated board to the appropriate waste collection centres. Plastic material must be placed in the relevant collection containers.

The key for the different types of plastic materials:

  • PET = Polyethylene terephthalate
  • PE = Polyethylene, code 02 for PE-HD, 04 for PE-LD
  • PVC =Polyvinyl chloride
  • PP = Polypropylene
  • PS = Polystyrene, Polystyrene foam
  • O = Other polymers (ABS, Laminates, etc.)

DISPOSING OF ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES:
The wheelie bin symbol with a cross indicates that the product must not be disposed of in the domestic waste at the end of its useful life.
Instead, it should be taken to your nearest designated collection point or recycling facility.
Alternatively, check with your retailer and retur the product when buying a replacement, on a one-to-one basis or as free of charge in case the size is smaller than 25 cm. Appropriate disposal promotes the recycling of parts and materials, as well as helping to protect the environment and human health. Under current legislation, strict penalties

SWITCHING ON/OFF
To switch on the instrument move selector  1 to ON. To switch the instrument off, move the same selector to OFF.

DEMOSONGS
This keyboard has 8 demosongs. To choose the prerecorded tracks, press the DEMO ONE key 3 in succession.
Press DEMO ALL key 2 , to listen to the demosongs in sequence. Press STOP 14 to interrupt.

VOLUME CONTROL
Adjust volume to desired level by using the VOL + button to increase or VOL – to reduce 6.

SOUNDS
You can select one of the 8 sounds by pressing the related button 18.

RHYTHMS
You can select one of the 4 rhythms by pressing the related buttons 17.
Press the TEMPO buttons 5 to reduce (TEMPO +) or increase (TEMPO –) the speed. Press STOP 14 to interrupt.

OKON (One Key One Note)
The One Key One Note function allows easy playing of the melody of one of the pre-recorded songs.
Press the OK ON 4 button, choose the desired song by pressing the corresponding white or black key (the accompaniment starts up), to perform the melody press any of the keys in succession.

Pres s OK ON again to exit the mode.

RECORD/PLAYBACK FUNCTION
This function enables you to record and playback a tune played on the keyboard. Press RECORD l2 before play-ing a tune. When you have finished press PLAY 13 m to listen to the tune. Press the TEMPO buttons 5 to reduce (TEMPO +) or inc rease (TEMPO –) the speed.

PADS
By pressing the button DRUM/ANIMAL 16 you can alternatively utilize the 4 pads 15 either to play percussion instruments or to reproduce the animal voices.

HOW TO PLAY THE MUSIC ON A SMARTPHONE OR OTHER MP3 PLAYER
With the 3,5 mm jack cable (supplied) you can connect an external audio source (MP3 player, tablet, smartphone, etc., not supplied).

  1. Insert the other end of the cable into the “HEADPHONE” socket of your music player or other audio source.
    Turn on the player, or other music sources and adjust the volume to balance the voice with the music; the reproduction will be monophonic because of the instrument.

MICROPHONE
Insert microphone in the special holder and connect into the socket MIC  9 .

HEADPHONE
To use headphones (not supplied), insert the jack in the socket 7.

HEARTS AND NUMBERS TO MAKE IT EASIER TO PLAY
The front of the instrument, above the keys, features screen-printed numbers and colored hearts 19 corresponding to each key to make it easier to recognize the musical notes based on the BONTEMPI music method.
There are some songs written with the Bontempi method on the back of the box.
