Function / Application

This measuring device determines the concentration of fine particulate matter in two categories. The measured value is classified into three levels based on official threshold and target values. The colour and numerical display provides the user with information as well as a warning of concentrations of fine particulates which are hazardous to health. Other functions include information on the time, humidity and temperature.

Explanation PM 2.5 / PM 10
Fine particulate matter with a diameter of 2.5 microns and 10 microns are considered to be the most dangerous atmospheric pollutants. PM 10 fine particulate matter includes pollen and allergens from plants and flowers. PM 2.5 fine particulate matter includes industrial emissions which can penetrate deep into the respiratory tract due to their extremely small size, causing long-term damage to the lungs.
