Product Information

The product is a controller for a heating system that controls the temperature in different zones. The controller can be connected to a pump, actuators, and a potential free relay. The controller has a display that shows the temperature settings and operation mode. The product is manufactured by ROTH UK Ltd and has offices in Denmark, Norway, and Finland.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the pump, actuators, and potential free relay to the controller before start-up. Refer to the controller manual for details.
  2. Pair/register the sensor to a zone (channel).
  3. Set the temperature and mode on the controller’s display.
  4. To set a constant temperature, follow the steps below:
  5. Press MENU on the controller’s display.
  6. Select the zone where you want to set the temperature.
  7. Select the sensor type and set temperature.
  8. Select the operation mode as “Constant temperature with time limitation”.
  9. Set the time duration for which you want to maintain the constant temperature.

  • Loosen the screw at the bottom of the room sensor and separate the room sensor from the base.Roth-Touchline-SL-EnergyLogic-Projectline-Wireless-Control-FIG-2
  • Mount the plinth on the wall (screws included) and attach the room sensor.
  • The room sensor can be used together with all control units the Roth Touchline® SL series. Registration of the room sensor takes place at the same time way on all control units, using the same buttons.   • Register a room sensor to a channel on the control unit. Follow steps 4 to 9 and press the signup button shown as step 10. Finish by pressing Menu andthen press Exit four times until standard display. All electrical connections for pump, thermal motors and possibly relay must be carried out before 230V is applied to the control unit, see the installation instructions for this.Roth-Touchline-SL-EnergyLogic-Projectline-Wireless-Control-FIG-5
  • The room sensor is now registered in the zone. On the display you can see the current room temperature (25.0°C) and the desired (22.0°C), as well as the battery level (99%), signal strength (100% – it must be min. 10%), drive mode (CON = normal drive). Read more about the display in the instructions on the control unit. Repeat the registration for the other room sensors or room thermostats on other channels until all are registered.

ATTENTION! If you register the room sensor to an incorrect channel, you do not need to delete it, you simply register the room sensor to the correct channel and the incorrect registration is deleted automatically.

  • Settings for temperature and operating mode for the room sensor must be made on the control unit’s display. For setting constant temperature follow steps 13 – 19 below.
  • If you want a different drive type than constant temperature (CON), for example time programs or time limitation, follow the below steps 20 – 26 For more information about time programs, we refer to the online manual for the Roth Touchline® SL control unit – master.
  • Picture 26, now shows the new set point of 22.0°C and the remaining time for which this temperature will apply (01:59). When the time expires will the system will automatically return to the originally selected constant temperature.
