SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the instructions carefully before use.
Save these instructions for future reference.

WARNING:

  • All jumpers need supervision, regardless of their skill or age.

  • Read and follow all safety instructions och warnings.

  • Max. weight 150 kg.

  • Always jump in the middle of the trampoline.

  • Empty pockets and hands of loose objects.

  • Never do somersaults in any direction (backward or forwards) on the trampoline. You risk landing on your head or neck, which can lead to paralysis and/or death.

  • The trampoline must only be used by one person at a time. More than one person jumping at the same time increases the risk of personal injury.

  • Always check that the product is in good condition and undamaged to ensure safe use. Replace any damaged parts immediately. Do not use the product before it has been repaired.

  • Never wear clothes with hooks or loose parts that can fasten when jumping.

  • Place the product on a level, stable and non-slip surface.

  • Strong wind can lift the product. In the event of strong wind, anchor the product firmly or dismantle it and put it away. Use at least three anchors. It is not sufficient to anchor the legs with tent pegs etc., because they can be pulled loose.

  • If possible, avoid moving the assembled trampoline as it can fold up and get damaged. If the assembled trampoline must be moved, it should be lifted by at least four persons evenly spaced around the edge. Carry the trampoline horizontally.
    If the frame gets warped during transport it will take four persons to carefully pull it back into shape.

  • The design of the trampoline means that users can jump very high in different positions. There is a risk of personal injury if you hit the safety net, the frame or frame pad,  or if you land incorrectly on the trampoline.

  • Read these instructions carefully before assembly, use, and/or maintenance.

  • The trampoline owner and person supervising the jumping is responsible to inform all users and onlookers of the safety instructions, and the importance of keeping at a  safe distance from the trampoline.

  • Never use the product near water. Always leave a sufficiently large safe space around the product.

  • Never place any foreign objects on the trampoline.

  • Make sure there are no persons, animals, or objects under the trampoline when it is in use – the risk of serious personal injury.

  • Follow all the instructions and safety instructions.

  • Always check before use that the bounce mat is clean and dry. Replace the mat immediately if it is worn or damaged.

  • Make sure that the trampoline cannot be used without permission or supervision.

  • Do not use the product if you are under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.

  • Practice the basic jumping technique until you have mastered it before going on to more difficult jumps.
    Further information on basic jumping techniques is included in the instructions.

  • Climb up onto the trampoline, do not jump onto it. Do not use the trampoline as a springboard to get to other places or objects.

  • Always check that the zip in the safety net is completely closed and that all three entrance hooks are coupled.

  • Never jump intentionally against the safety net, it is only intended to prevent persons from falling off the trampoline. Intentional jumps against the safety net can damage the safety net and/or cause the trampoline to tip over. Damage to the safety net, caused by incorrect use is not covered by the guarantee.

  • Sandbags can be placed on the trampoline legs to improve stability. They prevent the trampoline from tipping over if it is exposed to lateral forces.

  • Do not use the trampoline if you are pregnant.

  • Do not use the trampoline if you have high blood pressure.

  • Always jump barefoot. Wearing shoes can damage the trampoline. This kind of damage is not covered by the guarantee.

  • Do not use the product if it is wet.

  • For further information on exercises, contact a qualified jumper.

INTRODUCTION

As in all physical activity, there is a risk of personal injury. Reduce the risk of personal injury by following the safety instructions och recommendations.

  • Incorrect use of the trampoline can result in serious personal injury.
  • The design of the trampoline means that users can jump very high in different positions. Be careful.
  • Always check the product before using it.
  • The instructions contain directions for assembly, maintenance, and safety, as well as warning texts and information on jumping techniques. All persons using the trampoline,  or supervising persons using it, should read these instructions. Persons using the trampoline should be aware of their ability and limitations in terms of different jumping and bouncing techniques.
    1. Start by getting to know how the trampoline feels to jump on.
    2. Focus on basic things like body position, and practice each basic jumping technique until you master them and are in complete control.
    3. Start with the simplest jumps and make sure you can fully master them before continuing with more difficult jumps.
    4. Never try to perform jumps beyond your ability. Practice basic jumping techniques until you can master them completely.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

USE

  • The product is only intended for household use. The product is not intended for commercial or professional use.
    The maximum permitted weight of users is 150 kg. Users who weigh more could damage the trampoline. This kind of damage is not covered by the guarantee.

DANGER:

  • Do not leave children unsupervised on or near the product. Take suitable precautions and always keep children using the trampoline under supervision. Do not allow children to play with the packaging material- the risk of suffocation.
  • Trampolines higher than 51 cm are not recommended for children under 6 years of age. Store the product out of the reach of children and pets.

IMPORTANT:

  • Never modify the product in any way. Only use original spare parts. Repairs must only be carried out by qualified personnel. Repairs that are not carried out correctly can lead to a risk of serious personal injury and/or death. The product must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with these instructions.
  • Do not smoke on or near the trampoline.
  • Do not sit on or lean against the frame pad, it must be able to follow the movements of the trampoline. Make sure that children do not pull the frame pad when climbing up onto the trampo­ line. Damage resulting from straining the frame pad is not covered by the guarantee.
  • Place the product on a level surface, preferably on grass. Hard surfaces put greater pressure on the frame and can in time lead to damage. This kind of damage is not covered by the guarantee. The product can tip over if it is placed on an uneven surface.
  • Do not expose the product to naked flames.
    Protect the product from being used without permission.

ASSEMBLY OF SAFETY NET

IMPORTANT! At least two adult persons with the requisite technical skills are needed to assemble the product. Wear suitable clothing and shoes to avoid personal injury.  Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can result in a risk of personal injury.
NOTE: The illustrations may deviate somewhat from the actual model.

  1. Place an end cap in the top bar and a foot on the bottom bar. Now put the bottom bar in the top bar. Repeat for all bars. KAYOBA 951197 Safety Net - Figure 5

  2. Put a foam rubber covering on a bar as shown. Repeat for all bars.

  3. Place the safety net on the trampoline as shown.

  4. Insert the bars, fitted in step 2, in the tun­ nels on the safety net.

  5. Two persons may be needed for the next step.
    One person holds the bar in position, while the other locks the bar at the leg with quick fasteners.

  6. Repeat step 4 for all the bars. Make sure to completely insert the bars in the tunnels.

  7. Lock the end of a bar with a quick fastener at the bottom hole in a leg and the hole in the foot.

  8. Lock the top end of a bar with a quick faste­ ner at the top hole in a leg and the hole in the tube welded on the frame bar.

  9. When the safety net hooks are not connec­ ted they should be as shown in the illustra­tion.

  10. Repeat steps 6 to 8 for all the bars

  11. Connect the hooks to the nearest triangular ring on the trampoline. If it is difficult to connect the hooks to the triangular rings, go to step 12.

  12. Connect the hooks in the eyes of the spring as shown.

  13. Read the section on testing the trampoline before using it.

  14. Close the entrance zip and connect all the hooks. The person supervising the jumping should always check that the zip in the safety net is completely closed and that all three entrance hooks are coupled.

TESTING THE TRAMPOLINE
Always carry out maintenance checks after assembly and at regular intervals.

BASIC JUMPING TECHNIQUES

Learn basic jumps and positions before attempting more advanced exercises.

BASIC/STRAIGHT JUMP

  • Stand up with your feet slightly apart (shoulder width) and your eyes focused on the mat.
  • Swing your arms forwards and upwards in a circular movement.
  • Jump up and bring your feet together. Your toes should point downwards.
  • Land on the mat with your feet slightly apart.

STOPPING A JUMP

  • If you lose control on the trampoline, stop by bending your knees when you land on the bounce mat.
  • Do a low basic jump.
  • Stop by bending your knees when you land on the mat.

JUMPING ON HANDS AND KNEES

  • If you lose control on the trampoline, stop by bending your knees when you land on the mat.
  • Land on your knees. Keep your back straight and hold your balance with the help of your arms.
  • Jump back to a standing basic position by swinging your arms up.

  • Do a low basic jump.
  • Land on your hands and knees with a straight back.
  • Concentrate on landing correctly on all four, not on jumping high.

SITTING JUMP

  • Do a basic jump and land sitting down.
  • Place your hands on the mat at your hips.
  • Press away with your hands to go back to a standing basic position.

MAINTENANCE

Maintenance checks, trampoline

  • Check and if necessary tighten all screw unions.

  • Check underneath the trampoline that all the springs are correctly and safely hooked into the frame and the triangular rings.

  • Lift and shake the trampoline and check that the frame is stable.

  • Press down part of the bounce mat by resting the weight of your body on your hands against the mat.
    Release and check that the mat is smooth.

  • Check that the frame pad is undamaged and completely covers the springs and frame bar.

  • Check that the frame pad strings are safely tied.
